The app and texting should have a mechanism that would audit the cellphone’s music library, mostly to detect country music. There are country singers that earned their place in the competition, but Noah Thompson and Colin Stough are not one of them. No country singer should make it to the finale on the strength of their genre’s biased voters alone. I’ve been commenting on Colin Stough’s American Idol KZbin performance videos trying to police the fans reasons for voting for him. A term for winning easily on the strength of fanbase alone would be “fanwalking”, a portmanteau of “fan” and “cakewalk.” For country bias, that would be “twangwalking.” Colin Stough almost twangwalked. Noah Thompson twangwalked last year, and Chayce Beckham twangwalked the year before.

I watch the beginning of each show, when they all perform for the first time, then I stop. When Jax did not win, and she was clearly better than Philip Phillips, I quit watching. I was angry that is seemed it was fixed.
