Yeah especially the piano because at least you can take apart the mallet instruments

Quite literally JUST finished performing this with my percussion ensemble. As the person who played them, metals were essential to the piece, and my favorite part about it. 👌

What were the metals you used? Our band has glock and chimes, but only like one octave of crotales.

@@CalW44 actually, those were the ones. Chimes, glockenspiel, and crotales. And although it’s optional, I recommend bowing the crotale. SO good 👌

@@mr.clickbaiter8607 does it matter if it's only one octave of crotales? Also would it be a regular violin bow?

@@CalW44 I guess it really just depends on the part. There’s the reverse arpeggio thing going down at the end; if you don’t have two octaves of crotales, I’d do the crotales AND the glockenspiel instead of one or the other. I don’t remember using more than one octave of crotales, though. You should be safe. And yeah, regular violin bow works.

Big "interstellar" vibes (no pun intended) from this piece. I love the use of the back ends of mallets, I think that's genius and super creative. Awesome piece! Hope to play that marimba part one day.

Incredible performance! There is a song I remember from college that turns out to be this song originally. I can’t seem to find it. It had vocals over it. Anyone know what that rendition might be called?
