It's just terrible. And I've played other games from Bethesda and, in theory, I should get used to their flaws... But no, they only get worse over the years. NPCs have mimic, expression and mobility like C3PO. The animations are sparse and very clumsy, as if they are not just robots, but rusty. The dialogue is terrible, helped by the dialogue boxes and unnatural poses and stars of characters. This was all there in previous games, but less noticeable, because they were at least somewhat consistent. Starfield wants to be the "next gen game", but can hardly keep up with Mass Effect or even Outer Worlds - older and less than perfect games. There weren't many essential NPCs in Fallout 3 (outside the Citadel, of course), but even this was very annoying. I can't imagine how you can build an entire game around immortal NPCs, especially if they are not that important to the plot, and their death when the plot needs it is not worth the wait. And I knew Starfield was going to be bad, but this is just incredible. Bethesda not only doesn't understand Fallout, it can't even stand on its own two feet to create its own new universe. And even knowing all these shortcomings, my friend wanted to give this game a chance and the only thing that stopped him was how much space this game takes up on the disk - 125 gigabytes. With such lame graphics and procedurally generated worlds? Seriously? People often say that "Synthetic is negative, grifter, it exaggerates", etc. But no, I would say that because of the "Déformation professionnelle", he is less strict and emotional about trashy games, because plays it alot.

DLC can actually be quite good. But therein lies part of the problem. People criticize Fallout 4, but often praise Far Harbor, when Bethesda belatedly "listened" to some of their wishes and therefore people felt better than before... Although they could have gotten it right away, Bethesda had all the knowledge and capabilities. But no, they can't raise the bar too high, otherwise people might start asking for something better. So they will try to make the DLC better than the main game so that people will get a false impression of progress, although in reality, Bethesda is regressing, and people perceive short relief as a change of course.

I take my words back - after the DLC came out it became clear that it was very bad. So much so that no one cares. Even Synthetic doesn’t want to make a video because he understands that it won’t make any buzz
