Bessel 3 moon is a much better outpost location, really easy to find the line between aluminium and Iron, with Cobalt there as well (literally the side of a big black mountain). waiting there is just as long as Venus as well so save a trip/gets warehouses filled much faster. highly recommend looking into this planet

For XBOX Players: Go to Settings -> Bindings -> Menu Navigation section. Bind RB to X, and bind Right D-pad to LT. When you craft, now you can hold LT and Left analog stick right and spam X, which is much faster and easier than spamming RB. When done, simply reset to default til next time. Cuts down the time per craft, wear on your fingers, and wear on your bumper.

There is almost always a place like this on a planet with both resources, you just need to find a place where a mountains (or sometimes hills, if there are iron-bearing hills) biome touches a swamp biome. Then you need to very carefully select a landing site as close to the transition as humanly possible. This is the hard part. I suggest landing on the swamp side of the boundary as its usually easier to identify mountains than it is swamps on the local map. Name a planet and I'll find you a spot. Mine is on Codos, which is really handy as its a moon of Akila. Sometimes I get weird fjord features in addition to mountains. These are a trap that might make you waste time hunting for a nonexistent biome transition. They are actually a swamp biome variant when they spawn near mountains. True mountains look different on the local map: they don't drop down to near sea level in between peaks. If your landing marker said Swamps, you can usually determine if your landing site is on the true border just by looking at the local map once you land. Sometimes I have to land a couple of times to actually get the border.

Will try this. Can you clarify when you are zoomed in, do you pay more attention to the biome changes and hope the correspond to the resource transition or do you have to verify that the cursor also says biome1(resource1) and biome2(resource2)? Often I get the resource highlighted, but assume that's just to tell me that "green is aluminum" not that necessarily where my cursor is there is aluminum. Not been successful yet, but often had a hills/swamp combo. EDIT: finally ran towards a ferrous mountain with aluminum swamp, and the mounts are full of aluminum and beryllium. I'm almost thinking Bethesda patched this for PC folks, and the people who find it are console or found it before the change so it's locked. It cannot be this freaking difficult.

No, I'm on PC. It has nothing to do with the resources shown on the map, those are often lies. When you click to land, the icon that pops up tells you the biome. I toggle my mouse's DPI down to the lowest setting and move the cursor one pixel over at a time clicking and unclicking until the biome changes. I have found that on smaller planets/moons I do sometimes have problems finding the boundary, but I found a single outpost in the Nikola system with Iron, Aluminum, Tantalum, AND Beryllium just tonight. Like I said, mountain-like terrain can appear in swamps but you can usually tell them apart from true mountains because the swamp ones have valleys in-between that go down to sea level. When you actually have real mountains on your local map it's pretty obvious what the difference is. In-game, if the ground textures don't change the biome hasn't changed. If you want to speed up the prospecting, drop a save and then run "player.setav speedmult 1000" without the quotes in the console. You can zip all over like the flash looking for a spot and then reload and hike over on the clean save without worrying about disabling your achievements. @@pedwards5555 I uploaded an example of me finding a spot on Nikola I to my channel if anybody wants to see what I'm talking about.

What helped me is landing between intersecting biomes. The color does not matter at all, but you need to check if you’re in hills or swamp and keep scooting the landing site just a hair until you’re in the other biome. Then travel in the direction towards the other biome. Found an area in two tries vs the ten tries of using intersecting colors.

Great stuff! I usually give up on these kinds of guides because what looks easy in the video is super hard in practice. But this is exactly as advertised. From the moment I started until the moment I was completely in business was about 2 hours but once setup it's zero maintenance. One batch of resources will net you about 3 levels and each batch of resources requires about 5 minutes of your time.

how can you make the part of choosing between the two materials in the map (like plateau and rocky dessert) and land the ship perfectly in the middle. it took me two hours one of the planets (with the tip from @nukejesus on the new video) and so far in lantana i think it has taken me 2 hours.. i can't either find both or i find gold and then nowhere near where i am silver... it dosn't help that the planet map dosn't show me where i am standing and I can't delete the ship landing destinations once landed there to move it a little bit.

If the planet/satellite has 2 needed resources but separated by quite large distance and placed in 2 separate biomes, you can choose the place on THE BORDER OF 2 BIOMES, that place WILL contain resources from BOTH of biomes. UPD: how to detect the border of biomes: when you scanning the planet and placing the landing spot, there will appear the text like "mountains", "rocky desert", "craters", etc. Chose the place where you click and have 2 different texts very close to each other. For example, you click in one place, text says "desert", you click the millimetre left/right/wherever and text says "craters". Thats the border of biomes

You can find other planets that have aluminum and iron. I personally set up my first farm on Andromeda I believe which is easily accessible early on. I searched for a while online and finally found the answer. You need to search for an area near both iron and aluminum that is slightly separated by a mountain/crater area. When clicking on the planet you can see the mountains or crater description. Usually at the bottom of the mountains where the dirt turns from the grayish color to the redish color you can find iron and aluminum.

You can do this on Bessel IIIb. Iron and aluminum together. Plus, 1 hour of sleep is 58hrs of UT. So 1hr of sleep produces a ton of resources. Plus its I believe only a level 5 system.

This works as of Jan 27, 2024... it's very difficult to find a spot with both minerals if you don't know the trick.. (found the trick in another video) but... A little tedious if you're on Xbox which doesn't support using a mouse. You have to scroll for a while before you can get to 99. Does work though for unlimited XP!!.. Just don't expect to level up as fast as the uploader if you can't use a mouse.. but definitely works! After having tens of thousands of each resource it took about 3 minutes to level up from 38 to 39. When I get to about 10k adaptive frames I like to drop them on the ground and throw them far away. (I'm doing this on Andraphon which has very low gravity so they go pretty far) Not sure if this is necessary or not but If you've ever played a Bethesda game weird things can happen when you do weird stuff lol I just don't want my game to crash or get corrupted or something.

I tried to get going with this today, for like 2 hours. I explored the planet time after time after time, at least 20 locations. Each one running off, sometimes for as long as 10mn-ish. Never got to a point where I had both aluminum AND iron at the same time.

You will want to save before you land and then reload the save and land again if you were unsuccessful. This will generate new terrain because the game will think it’s your first time landing there. Hope this helped.

Not trying to be a dbag, but in like 10 minutes I found 8 different places you can do this - I would use an online interactive map over the in-game one to save time scouting planet resources. Sumati's moon, Andraphon, in the Narion system is the best planet for this method because you can set up a Helium-3 farm there too.

the aluminum/iron/nickel/cobalt combination can also be found on Bessel 3b and that planet has a 1 hour to 60 conversion... so you sleep 1 hour and get 60 hours of production.

I tried for a while to get the spot you showed but best I could go by was the shape of the hills around you and ended up just trying multiple other spots on the planet till I got both of them. What I would recommend is find a spot where you can lay the cursor ring entirely over both types of ore on the map, with the two ores split evenly so you can decide a direction to go based on which resource is under your feet when you land. If you see iron in the north and your ship lands on iron, head south till you hit a seam, which can take a couple minutes of walking, at least that was my experience.

I put my landing zone as close to the center of that line as I could. That why I didn't have to have a direction I just stayed within sight of my ship. Hopefully that helps.

Land between the two biomes. The iron has a biome and the aluminum has a biome. Click on each to find what biome it is on the right side. Then click until you find a spot right between them. You will want to save before you land and then reload the save and land again if you were unsuccessful. This will generate new terrain because the game will think it’s your first time landing there. Hope this helped.

This is clear and awesome advice NJ - thanks! However, newbs like me, learn from my mistake: I created a metric crap-ton of adaptive frames, to the point where I was severely over-encumbered. (I made thousands of them.) But I didn't think ahead about what to do with them (aside from build more boxes). Problem is, Storage - Solid boxes only allow storing ore deposits, not struts. Struts must require a more advanced container, one I can't make yet. I thought to store them in my room at The Lodge, but now I'm too encumbered to fly there. lol! I ended up just dropping em on the ground. Also, make sure to put your last linked container close enough where you can reach it, because they fill up from the last linked one to the first. just an fyi. sometimes this breaks and you'll see in the bottom right of the screen when in outpost build mode that your production is 0.00/min. To fix this just delete your extractors and replace them. Make sure you connect the link to the same starting storage bin.

Check out the Bessel system, bessel III-b. You can get Aluminum, Cobalt, Iron, Nickle and water in a single outpost. Great videos as well!

So one: excellent video. Perfect and straight to the point. Unlike 99% of others out there. I hope everyone recognizes this through the comments before watching. Nicely done. 2: I don't know how I personally feel about these kind of exploits. I love taking advantage of them but I also feel like it takes away from the experience of the game. At this point I'm thinking of maxing out my main via this exploit and the new Atlantis money glitch. I know that if I max my account I have nothing to work towards really.. so.. maybe a middle ground.. ramp up levels as needed using this exploit.. hard To say what I may do. This is cool though Edit: I followed this tutorial and was easily able to start leveling up and realized that just because you level up doesnt mean you can start leveling up your character. You still need to progress through each tier and achievement to apply your skill points that youve earned through this exploit.. This helps it feel like you still have a goal rather than just maxing out your character immediately. This is great!

Wow man, this took about 7 hours to find a spot on the planet, nothing match in my game to your video, (hills) other than the location on the planet's scanned map. But to find this sweet spot took the 7 hours. I run everywhere, I moved the landing area 6 times within the area you showed on the planet. I almost gave up but on the last move and running south I found it :-) My brain is a wreck . But thank you so much for the video. It's my first base. Jemison Mercantile is a better place to buy the starting gunk from. Seems to be more reliable for frames, and have a slightly higher overall stock level of the other stuff. It's also in the spaceport, so you can drop it all on your ship from the counter and not have to deal with encumbrance.

@@deviousclaymore Come on, that's basic game mechanics. You shouldn't be trying to use exploits etc until you've at least learned the basics of how to play the game. Open your menu (Tab on PC, no idea on console), go to your ships, open cargo, then you can switch to your inventory from there and put it in, as long as you're in the spaceport district.

You got to find the areas where the different biomes connect. Even if the resource map doesnt show a material there it doesnt matter. The biome connection places are where i found all the good spots for extractors of multiple resource. NARION system has a moon which i was able to get helium, alum, and iron all in one. Ship those to my COBALT and nickel farm and its good

Land between the two biomes. The iron has a biome and the aluminum has a biome. Click on each to find what biome it is on the right side. Then click until you find a spot right between them. Nickel/Cobalt is easier to find, and makes Isocentered Magnets for more xp.

It may be harder to find but it’s much more efficient. 1. Both items make the same amount of XP. 2. The Nickel/Cobalt method requires you to farm on three separate planets. 3. The Nickel/Cobalt method requires you to fast travel to Venus to pass time. That’s now 4 planets you need to use. 4. The Nickel/Cobalt method requires you to have leveled up skills that most people don’t have yet. Without the leveled up skills you can’t see Cobalt! The Iron/Aluminum farm avoids everything listed above and makes you the same amount of XP. You also have all the materials available instantly to craft more chests without having to go get more iron and aluminum.

I was able to get Aluminum and Iron right next to each other on Andraphon in the Narion system. It was pretty easy to find a location because you can just walk the line between the two distinct biomes. Not only that, but the site had also Helium 3 so I was able to power the location with generators.

Big problem with that location is it doesn't have anywhere near as good a time conversion. You want to have a place with a large difference from UT (universal time). Bessel 3b is a far better choice.

Bessel 3b is better as it also has Nickel and Cobalt along with Iron and Aluminum. You can even find spots with all resources in one place! Still a good long time conversion and be sure to make a bed instead of a bench to get the 10% bonus in XP for sleeping.

Also when placing storage containers it can be tricky at times. When it doesn't go where you want and it's clipping weird to other container just rotate it while in position and it will reposition the container to more ideal like spot.

I swear they need to update the placement rules. It keeps telling me something is already there when it's not and it take 5 seconds to.update the position every time I move to place another. Just allow us to batch place them Bethesda. (And uncap the crafting menu. 99 as a cap is ridiculous and being able to hit one button to craft the max you can would be incredibly helpful)

Great vid, one thing though, you dont need a 2k weight ship, you can carry the weight on you and just run, losing hp from sprinting without O2 cannot kill you (on normal atleast) youll be like 1 hit from death but just sleep for 1 hour in a bed and you're full hp again

Just wanna add a few tips for anyone just now watching this video: Make a bed instead of a bench to wait because you get the 10% XP boost, if you bring your significant other its 15%, and stock up on tea in Paradiso that gives you a 2% XP boost. This may not sound like much but you're getting a 116 extra exp with every ten 99-stacks you make. Will add up to levels depending on how long you do this. Also if you finally find a spot with Aluminum/Iron quicksave before dropping the outpost. 3 times I dropped it early and come to find out the supply areas were too far away to make enough extractors This method fit my needs as I'm not trying to max lvl, just wanted to jump from 50 to 70.

Even if they are separated by large chunks of No Resource area, you can still find those resources in the gap between them. Just see what biome the two resources are in, then click around until you find the spot the biomes meet. Try to find the perfect meeting point of the biomes, then land, find the biome split and bam, multi resource outpost. Some of the best resource locations are on parts of the map that show no resources at all, in between the two major resource locations. There’s one with 7 resources, another with 4: nickle iron aluminum and cobalt, which is what you need for crafting 2 things so it’s great for the xp farmers

Bessel 3B in the Bessel system is the best planet for $ and XP farming. It had aluminum, iron, cobalt, nickel with veins that converge in a single spot. Also, sleeping 1 hour on Bessel 3B is equal to 60 UT hours. Essentially, this will max out all of your storages very quickly. Sleeping in a bed is always recommended vs waiting on a chair to take advantage of the XP boost. Hope this helps

Great video! As other said I really really appreciate you getting to the point in less than 10m video. Some of the other ones have way too much fluff and are like 1h+. One thing people should be aware of: 🐢 All XP exploits from selling items are 20x slower on XBOX 🐢 , as you need to click right bumper 20 times compared to 1 mouse click on PC to craft 99 adaptive frames. Took about 30m of clicking to go from level 32 to 40... which is still fast but nothing like the gains you get on PC. You get only about 1000xp per minute, and after 30 minutes my hand about to fall off... :( Its still faster than killing animals on level 75 planets, but way less fun... You'll need a good 10-20+ hours? of realtime mindless waiting and crafting to get to lev 100. For XBOX, most efficient way would be to build Paramagnon Conductors, which I believe give 300xp per stack.

You can do this just as fast on Xbox -> Bind your "RB" to "X", also bind your "right dpad" to "LT". Then push the left stick to the right plus hold down "LT" and spam "X". You can fill to the limit in just over a second, you're welcome!

Tip: Beds... I haven't seen anyone use beds instead of benches but they are tons better. You get a 10% xp bonus so crafting 99 gives you 108xp instead of 99xp and also there's no getting on or off animation, so it's quicker. just better all round.

You didn't cover one part completely; With this method you create tons of adaptive frames. What do you do with them? It's so much you can't reasonably move anymore. And it's too much to sell.

Your options are: 1. Drop them at different vendors feet. When you want to buy something sell them. 2. Drop them on a random planet. They will only render has 1 or two adaptive frame models on the ground with a large number like (xxxxx) above it. 3. Store them in the infinite chest in your room in the lodge. Now you have extra material for the future :)

I've been telling people to do this method on Serpentis since the game came out on reddit. You can sleep on your ship and change a ship module to engineering so you've got an industrial bench and on serpentis it is 680 hours sleep for 24. On xbox I get about 20k or more resources per run and just drop them in my inventory. Never need to leave the ship, just transfer it all into your ships inventory, then into your inventory. If you stay on the ship? You don't have to worry about random encounters and spawning enemies.

Ok people, i was finding insanely hard to find the spot on the video, so here's a second spot you can try. Notice there's alredy a marker on Nikola, of a Drilling Station. Go right from there, in the same horizontal line. When you are almost reaching 180° from the DS, look for a square (kinda rectangle). Its an aluminium square floating in a red "sea" of iron (the Square doesnt touch anything else). If you aim at the middle of the Square and go down, you'll see that It still shows Aluminium, even when you are on the red sea. The moment It changes to iron, you land. Upon landing, run in the direction your Ship is heading until you find the sacred spot of Al/Fe (I presumed the ship allways face north on landing, dont know If i am right, but It worked).

I, frankly, can't understand why some youtubers promote that Co-Ni planet as well. I mean, we're talking about farming and keep it simple.
