I don't want this game to be Star Wars. I don't want it to be Star Trek or NMS. I just want it to give me the same vibes Interstellar did when I watched it for the first time in theaters. I just want that grand sense of exploration, humility that comes in the face of insurmountable odds, and aweinspiring environments. And it looks like all of that is here in spades so I'm a happy guy.

Just a extra notice. In the deep dive gameplay you will see a few rare weapons in data menu with a perk and also a legendary space helmet with 3 perks. My guess is you can find exotic weapons like rare/blue (1 perk) ,epic/purple (2 perks) and legendary/yellow ( 3 perks). Fallout 4 had legendary weapons ,armor and now you got a system of 3 rare,epic,legendary each with a extra perk wich i think is huge and worth the grind👍

No idea, and I even I never found one, but it was entirely possible to loot a Crimson Ace Helmet. I love that they took so much of why SWG was so well loved.

I really hope we get specific unique weapons that are the best version in terms of unique characteristics. Legendary weapons were cool in FO4 but so many of the specific unique weapons had the exact same characteristics and thus weren’t very unique like in FO3/FONV/Skyrim etc 😢

This is really an homage, but so much of this game are things we saw in SWG (which was multi-player and PvP) over 20yrs ago. I have never been so excited for a spaceflight game since SWG.

I got the captains log book Had all the categories like plant name Gravity type Temperature 🌡 and more already in book. Called Captains Log only eight bucks. You fill them in as you find planets places ect

Sorry to nitpick but weight and mass are not the same thing. Weight is relative, mass is a constant. As in: id weigh 70KG on earth but only 20 in space. My mass would still be the same thou. Really good walkthrough thou and thank you for the work you put into it.

@@Max-px5ym zelda and diablo are leagues apart from the scale of starfield or gta v. Its like comparing red dead redemption 2 to genshin impact because both are open world. Edit: don't get me wrong, they are good games but you will realise the gameplay content becomes repetetive after a couple of hours unlike starfield

You can land anywhere on the planets. It’s just more like a fast travel shortcut instead of spending 10min entering the atmosphere. There are very few game engines that can handle that level of scale transition from space to surface. It’s difficult to do, especially at the level of fidelity most modern AAA games are aiming for because the memory requirements would be insane. There’s a reason Star Citizen isn’t on consoles and runs horribly on anything but the most powerful PCs.

Not being able to land on planets and not being able to drive a vehicle is going to take soooo much out of the immersion. It will just feel like a new map with different locations

I don’t know. Immersion was never a problem in BGS games. The atmosphere, music, art design, world building, gameplay loop and discoverable content all contribute to very immersive gaming experiences. Whether we spend 10min entering an atmosphere or just land through a cutscene, I doubt this will affect the verisimilitude that much. This isn’t a space sim after all. It’s a galactic action RPG.

If by landing you mean space to planet seamless transition then sure.. I guess but I doubt it would affect immersion as much as you’re scared it will. As for vehicles I think the jet back will be enough.

My single problem with everything I have seen so far is this. We have a huge game set in space with over 1000 planets to explore yet not a single alien faction to interact with. I think this will be the single biggest miss of the game. They could with that many planets put in dozens of non human factions, NPCs etc. It escapes me why they would make a sci Fi space game and include zero evolved alien life and instead only include alien animals. Other than that one thing I am super stoked for this game! Like if we were limited to the planets around earth, I would totally get it, but it does not make sense, in this setting to at least have a few sentient alien races and factions. I dont even care if they are playable like the races in Skyrim, totally cool with humans being the only PLAYABLE race, but it just does not feel like a scifi space game without sentient aliens.

@@mekwan3019 the problem with that from my personal experience, is that mods like that, are usually not as good as the game they are in. Mods are great for weapons and stuff like that, but when it comes to adding NPCs, they always seem to, for lack of a better way to put it, well, they usually are sub par and half the time are not even voiced. Also mods like that seem to create instability in games. Maybe its just me, but I for one do not think we should have to rely on mods for something that should have been a total No Brainer in a SCIFI SPACE game lol
