Starfield has the most “Next-Gen” looking NPCs ever

Starfield has truly some of the funniest looking NPC expressions, every time I load the game I go close to an NPC just to see how they react. Bethesda has done a great job making the NPCs really feel like they are not the main player XD

0:28 The Oblivion tier NPC dialogue happening naturally in the background of his perpetual surprise is absolutely killing me. I swear they had this figured out in Skyrim and Fallout 4, so how/why on gods' green earth did Bethesda manage to completely screw it up again for Starfield?! Just keep a full pool of pre-scripted conversations per voice pairing, and some unique ones for named characters. Pick a compatible pairing based on RNG pairing rolled on a timer, if nobody compatible is around to start a dialgoue or their roll didn't succeed, reset the timer and pick a new destination in the routine list. That's how Skyrim did it, it worked great and it'd have worked just fine here too. Sure we'd probably end up with another Brenuin and Carlotta problem, but that's way less annoying than "Hey. Hi! Did you hear about the incident on Scorpion-5? Yes. Goodbye. Goodbye!"

The entire REDengine had to be upgraded for 2077 meaning that none of the assets they had could be used and the engine needed to be retooled. That, and 2077 had _less_ development time than Witcher 3. They devs didn’t want to release it until way later but upper management give them the middle finger and did so anyway.
