With the cutter, if you hold down the aim key/button, you will concentrate the beams, which will amplify the damage. Just an fyi

Thank you! I didn’t realize keeping getting caught after pickpocketing would give me negative xp so I was looking for something to farm my way out quick besides those outpost farms I cba doing anything outpost related right now

A golden tip: bind F1 to quicksave and F3 to quickload for example, just hit F1 right before doing anything decision/danger based and F3 if that goes wrong :P

You should wait in your bed when changing it from night to day for the XP boost. And seeing how this is an xp farm video the extra 10% boost or whatever it is would be helpful. Also you’re using your mining laser without focusing the beam so you’re not doing NEARLY as much damage as you could be. Hold aim button to focus mining laser for maximum damage.

Masada: “…all the experience you’ll ever need without any requirements” except the investment in Astro-whatever that you need to jump from Decaran to Masada! This is a specialized skill not usually hoses in early game, depending on your definition of “early game”. I would consider early game as sub level 10, just sayin…. I was hoping the video would have had an alternate system. I think you should have noted the requirement for the advanced skill just to get there.

I did this without any ranks in ship tiers or upgrades, can be done with basic ships

@@04AMofficial As I posted, the game will not let me travel from Decaran to Mesada, and I even have Razorleaf. Please explain how you made that final jump with Frontier and no skill upgrades? I am not the only one who has posted they could not make that jump, and the responders each said it required investment in Astrodynamics (?). Obviously I was able to make all the jumps to get to Decaran…. BTW I tried to accept the invite to join your Discord group but it told me the address was invalid

@@04AMofficial I don't see how that's possible. The starting ship has a jump range of 15LY. The jump from Decaran to Masada is 18.754LY. In the video, your jump range was 19LY, which means you either had a better grav drive than what's on the starting ship, or you had the third rank of Astrodynamics.

This looks like a fun way to gain XP, but you can also do it the boring (but much faster) way by crafting isocentered magnets from an outpost that borders cobalt and nickel resources. You can also sell those magnets for 4 credits a piece (and you’ll have tens of thousands of these by the time you’re done). I just watched a video on that before this one. Not dogging this method by any means-it seems much more fun than the crafting method!

You should sleep for 1 hour in your ship's bed before going out to farm XP. This will give you a +10% XP bonus for the next 24 hours of game time. If your ship doesn't have a HAB with a bed you need to get one the next time you visit a shipyard.

Mmmm idk about this area lol Pretty annoying XP area. Everything Gas, and these cricket things move a lot, and spit acid at you. Bit of a pain. Died a lot starting this XP farm. I found another planet Level 65 with less aggressive animals to farm. I think i easily leveled up 6 times on that planet. Maybe ill come back to this one when im level 30 ish or something. But by then i might switch to the outpost leveling builds.

You can jump right off rip just keep making jumps and you'll make it to high level planets at level 2 it works for legendary farming too

This is by no means cheating and fully intentional. You could also run a script and instantly get the XP you need. That would be cheating ^^

Please, do not play this game, for your own sake. I have played the game all quests and side faction quests, maxed out all skills and gone New Game Plus. This game should be boycotted/cancelled. Do not waste your time or money on this game.

Think they patched it, now most enemies will be closer to your level and only few will actually be strong. They can also kill you easily even on very easy. Thing is people wouldn't be doing this kind of shit if you could respecc. And since the game is completely unbalanced, it's kinda infuriating to have wasted points and hours of progress on a fucking useless melee build.

That was the same problem I was running into as well haha Just getting two tapped by these cricket things. I eventually want to another planet I think Bardeen III just north of Kryx. Had a lot of high level creates that were not nearly as aggressive as this area. I think I leveled up like 8 times in 20 minutes. I also invested Laser perk to try and upgrade the power of the laser while grinding pretty early. I tried this planet but I think i'm going back to the other one lol
