I hate it when people call Starfield mid tier. Personal opinions can vary, but I think it is definitely below mid. Every aspect of the game is below what I would expect from an average game.

Yeah so many people said it's 7/10 or 6/10 but that's ultra generous. Taking everything into account it's more of a 4.5 /10 at best. If Starfield came out in 2013 maybe I could give it a 6/10.

The state of gaming has gotten sad. Bethesda is washed up, Activision is washed up, and Microsoft is washed up. All the money in the world, enough to "spend sony out of business", and they can't even beat ps4 titles. I can't understand why people support what they are doing, and refuse to demand better

CDPR gives me hope tbh...they're still independent and they're massive, they redeemed themselves with Cyberpunk and now they have 2 successful IP's to work with...plus they're focused on single player experiences - Kojima is doing interesting stuff too....I hope they help other studios realize that single player games are still huge drivers of the industry

@@5226-p1e I only meant that a lot of game reviewers try to sound professional on video. A lot of professional game reviewers also gave Starfield praising reviews upon release while not giving Bethesda any constructive feedback the game needs. Sometimes these professional reviewers make sure their reviews are positive so that Bethesda keeps letting them get early access to their games. In contrast, this dude sounds like someone who lives down the street who just did not like the game. He don't care about getting early access, this is just a straight opinion. Plus, he just sounds hood and that is kinda funny.

@@vincemcgaj628 yeah i know what you mean and your right, there were plenty who were really hyping the game and boasting about how great it was when it was really a very held back space game in comparison to other games. to many of them were payed to give it a good reputation, this is why i don't ever fall for the game at launch, i always wait a few months after it's been out, by then is when the signs eventually show if the game is worth all the hype or not, some people also seem to have beer goggles on and they think something is soo great and then later change their review and take off their beer goggles and see the truth. maybe i should use the matrix reference instead, at first they took the blue pill because they wanted so badly to live in la la land, but eventually that feeling wore off and they saw through the code and took the red pill and learned the truth lol.

The progression (regression really) from Fallout 3, to 4 to 76 makes me think the last good ES game was Skyrim, and that's being generous I know. They'll try to make the game "xxx's times bigger than Starfield!!!!11!" but bigger doesn't equal better, and that creaking engine can't handle it. I don't care if they come out with Creation Engine 3.0, it will have the same jank, the same and new bugs, and way too many loading screens or some other "watch our animation, we are very proud of it" moments that happen in their games. Think the real talent has left the building at Bethesda.

But IMO many people view Skyrim through very thick nostalgia glasses. Bethesda was already lagging behind other big developers back then but at this point their game design is hilariously outdated.

Bethesda showed me how much "care" they put into this thing when they released it WITHOUT an FOV SLIDER. Theeennn Emil the "writer" comes out talking to the CUSTOMERS like they're idiots. Well in my case he's absolutely RIGHT. I've been buying their games allll these years thinking they'll improve, innovate, apply lessons learned. Yeeaahh right. Didn't buy this thing, ( thank you youtubers for showing, SAVING me a bunch of money), and won't be making the mistake of buying ANYTHING of their again...EVER. I was so naive that I thought Microsoft was able to make a difference but the game is a bug infested pile of crap that gets more and more unplayable the longer one plays. New issues pops up constantly. I'm done with this sh!t company for good. Alone the lousy control implementation on pc is enough to make me stay away from any game also developed for game boxes.

The second they announced 1000 planets I knew the game was going to be heavily procedurally generated unlike a regular open world RPG, so I played it with that in mind and I LOVED IT, the fact that with a 40min presentation people didn't realice the kind of game it was and still dare to call it "LIES" is baffling to me, a lot of people like the game, if you don't is fine you don't have to like or play every game made by a big developer.

Everything you said I said to my friends about the game at various times. I played for about 37 hours and finally gave up. It was SUCH a random and disjointed playing experience. Loading screen to loading screen, and not even remembering wtf happened between it all because it was so fuhginng boring and mundane.

In 12 months we will be talking about how fantastic Starfield is in terms of graphics and gameplay...once the DLC packs are purchased and installed...in theory. If we're really lucky Bethesda will have learned to create a map.

I didn't really enjoy Skyrim, being a Morrowind fan. Oblivion and Fallout 3 were fine, but already showing some cracks in the formula, but okay. Fallout 76, didn't bother trying it out.. Fallout 4 was a 150 hour long wait for something that never materialized.. a waste of time. When Starfield was announced with only the logo, I was a little bit hyped. When the first trailer dropped, I was out and have never looked back. Not gonna lose my time with this bullshit. Reading alot of classic SciFi recently (Dick, LeGuin, Cixin..) would have made it even worse. Let's hope they rethink their whole approach to making games with TESVI. Good thing we have FromSoftware and Larian around these days.

Good video first off. I gotta say i think this game was specifically designed to reach as many people as possible kids, especially included. Bruh they spent how much fuckin money on marketing??? There was commercial and branding every fucking where before the game came out. My biggest gripe about the game is that there is literally ZERO gore. Cmon wheres my bloody gore perk. The fact that basic game features are locked behind perk points is digusting. This game was designed to eat your time with menus, travel and transportation. This game fuckin sucked i coukd barely make it to 60 hours. Its boring plain and simple

Lame lazily put together story; exploration feels like a last minute thing they barely put thought into; the shipbuilding (the coolest part of the game) barely matters because space combat is clunky and boring; the cities are unimaginitve and boring; every location type is literally copied..see that mining post? It's EXACTLY like the last one you just explored with the same layout and enemy/treasure locations...no matter how much people try to be charitable and say its a decent game...its not, they made very weird gameplay design choices that make the game a struggle more than a joy to play

But you have to play NG+ the 4th time then Starfield will show you the masterpiece it is. 😁😆😅😂🤣 But you can build ships and bases and Starborn will spawn randomly and attack you. Don't you want to do that a 100,000 times? That's the later content I was always looking forward to. Not a new quest line or anything. Not a totally new type of game. Great video. Well said.
