I was just discussing the music with friends. The radio works but there is another option too. There is an actual Diskman in the game. We need a mod that makes it functional and you can "Burn Custom CD's" aka drag music files into an easy to find folder accessible in the menu just as you can with images in the Gallery. This would make it both easy for novice users and would give a perfect homage to Guardians of the Galaxy.

I think the perfect blend for me would be a mod that makes them flop like a ragdoll if they're killed with a headshot, otherwise, I'd be okay with the other animations as long as it doesn't play the same one 3 times in a row (like it did for the video).

I need Ballistic Turrets, specifically Rotary Turrets. It perplexes me that their are only particle and laser turrets, you also dont have PDC/PDTs. Those need to be modded in. I can directly shoot missiles if i manually aim at them, and you can boost away break their lock for a moment, but like, I'm trying to build the Rocinante.

@@KaiFuzzybutt In the case of this mod, they don't even look like glowsticks. They look like some ultra-faint, transparent holograms. Literally the laziest lightsaber mod I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot.

I think it will depend on personal preference as well. While testing it, I noticed some animations being pretty good looking, but I also like the feel of the person just crumbling after I headshot them, because, well, they got shot in the head lol

My month 1 number on September 30th was 210 hrs. Very pleased with myself 😊 (probably about 150 hrs of that spent outpost and ship building). Now, let's see if I can maintain this high level...

So, the music one, it's controlled by the number on the keyboard, or buttons on the controller - the console I showed in the ship is the Starfield radio website it uses for the lore friendly radio :) But oh man, if it actually gave you a little console on you ship you could use?? I'd love that!

Ragdoll mod is looking very interesting, totally tracking it. I feel it kinda over does it too, but it has potential. Also I just passed 284 hours, 16min in-game.

200+ hrs. Sept 1-Oct 2 lvl 125 still on first play through missing two powers. I’ll prob start NG+ at lvl 200. Get to NG+ 8 quick and create my empire. This will be a 500+ hr game pre DLC.

4:00 If your game is crashing with a 4090, the GPU isn't the problem. Get a better NVMe, CPU, and motherboard. Remember, CPUs have thermal throttling. So get a liquid cooler for that CPU.

The problem wasn't temperatures, or anything like that. I was contacted by the mod author and the files I downloaded were prone to crashing. But my initial impressions were lack of VRAM causing the game to crash because I'd watch my VRAM and RAM rise higher and higher than it would crash the game. I have a 360mm AIO on my CPU, and my GPU only runs at 55C while gaming :)

I like the idea of lightsabers in game but if they cant deflect energy projectiles, i’ll probably wait for modding tools. Every instinct in your body will have you blocking as a robot fires lasers at you. But the game will still think you are holding a fire axe 😢

The problem with radio on a space game is the fact that is not realistic, you cannot listen the same station even on the same planet and radio signals move at the speed of light, so, you cannot be on the other side of this game at 200 light years and listen to radio. It could be realistic if some big capital planets had radios but only to be listened while you are on the planet, like it is sattelital radio, that could be realistic.

Another way to explain radio across the universe could be if on this lore there are sattelites travelling with gravitational engines repeating the radio signal, so, you coild listen to radio everywhere but it would be limited to the speed of the gravitational engine, so, you could listen to replays of a radio station with some weeks of delay? I dont know how much a gravity engine takes on time to travel beetween stars.

@@MrJays the devil is on the details hahaha, this is not a game like skyrim where magic exists, this is sci fi, so, you have to think differently, the public is different, imagine if you where able to go out of your ship and float on space without a space suit, or make every planet habitable, well, you cannot do that on a serious sci fi game, unless you are doing something like No Man Sky wich is for a younger public.

Personally, I would prefer a thermal katana like the one in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty over any lightsaber. Lightsabers simply don't have a place inside Starfield's universe. 😐

It's for the people who wanna play star wars field. I honestly like both options. I mostly wanna mod it into the expanse/cyberpunk themed stuff for the realism aspects but star wars just because I'm a fan of star wars and think this would be really fun with a star wars skin over it

Honestly, a lot of people like the cosmetic/visual side of mods. I, myself, tend to mod Bethesda games too look and feel like Vanilla, just with better graphics (you can check out my Skyrim videos from 2 years ago to see).
