I agree that no game is perfect. I was expecting a little more in the game. Fallout 4 settlement system has more than the outpost system here. Then we are limited to 6 or 7 npcs to a ship and outpost. I think we will see a big update and dlcs in the future.

I think is a bit disingenuous that people keep writing off legitimate criticism of Starfield as “Sony fanboys are mad.” While there’s definitely some of that I’m sure, a lot of people are just pointing out the seeming flaws of this game in comparison to current industry standards and previous efforts Bethesda has made. The game doesn’t seem trash to me, all the Bethesdaisms seem to be there within the side quests and factions and what not, but the exploration seems to have taken a back seat. I saw a lot of people complain about the amount of load screens in the game as well, but I haven’t played it so I don’t really have much to say about that. But TBH talking about his experience convinced me there’s probably a bit more to exploration than what I’ve seen, I guess people I have watched play the game just make it seem so boring 😂😂 I’m sure there are people are shitting on it because they can’t play it, but I think sound minded people would be crazy to shit on something because they can’t play it. If this game looked like the next Skyrim to me I’d probably be compelled to buy an Xbox or build a pc (after several months of grueling work and saving). I was on Xbox and PlayStation growing up, then mainly Xbox after playing Halo and during the 360 era, then back to PlayStation around 2012-2013.

For me starfield, outside of the starship builder, doesn’t really do THAT much in warms of innovation, but the game is packed with meaningful content. Like side quests are actually interesting, live events happen randomly. My first 9 hours in the game was a whole side quest after I got coauthor commiting a crime. The story also isn’t mind blowing but it’s pretty interesting. Also, the persuasion system has been seen before in these type of games but I like how they put their own spin on it.

That first 10 or so hours of Starfield is BRUTAL, but once I got through that and got into the shipbuilding I often found myself just getting lost in the feature tbh. I spent like 3 hours building a ship yesterday. Mostly because Bethesda doesn't let you choose your doors and ladders, but its really fun

I got like 52 hours in, didnt even build a ship yet got about three temple powers and only finished one major questline. I like it my only complaint is it feels slow to level up especially when each perk you need 4 points to fully upgrade it.

I have been seeing Ethos streaming armored Core 6 and it's looking like a damn good time. I played it a little bit and was constantly getting my ass kicked by the first boss but I kept playing and playing and I immediately Beat It. For me I can't wait to play it more because I've been seeing a lot of fun builds and I can't wait to do my own and keep progressing at the game.

I'm having fun with Starfield, about 80 hour clocked so far, but I find a few of major issues with it. There's A LOT of places to go, but there's nothing to do or see. If you're not looking for resources or something to shoot at, there's no real point in exploring. The outposts and points of interest are not unique, so stories you uncover at one place will be the same exact story elsewhere. Starfield doesn't incentivize exploring like Fallout or Elder Scrolls did. Its always been my favorite part of Bethesda games, and Starfield ironically does it the worst. Your crew members are all whiney, complain and give lectures at every chance they get if you decide to do or say anything God wouldn't do. I wouldn't mind as much if there were partners that had some edge to them, or encouraged hoodrat activities like the past games, but having 4 grown ahh people try and put my grown ahh character in time out is driving me crazy lol

before watching comment: Starfield will be good in like 5 years after mod community has had time with it. To me, Bethesda games have reached the Pokémon tier in my mind. As in the core gameplay loop is good 'enough' for me to want to play it, but its just plagued with so many flaws. For Pokémon I simply want to gather a team of some new and old Pokémon, battle gyms, and then beat the elite four and champion then I'm done and satisfied. For Bethesda games I want to explore the open world, level up and get cool perks, do cool questlines, and gather cool gear. Starfield does that, but it definitely is not innovative and as gaming worldview changing as Skyrim was when I played that for the first time back in 2011. And personally I just prefer swords and shields and magic vs sci fi. Especially in terms of lore so I know i'll probably still buy elder scrolls 6 when it comes out in 10+ years from now.

Yes it is mid. The best part of the game is the side quest and gunplay. Outside of that the game is mediocre. The story is just nothing special compared to other games in its genre like Witcher 3, BG3, Mass Effect, Kotor, etc. The engine holds this game back technically as well, the character models still look like plastic and the animations for yourself and npcs are just terrible. It’s a fun game and I like it but it’s supposed to be Xbox’s generation defining game and that is nowhere near true. 1000 planets and 900 of them ain’t got a single nigga on them? Tf is the point? They really expect us to gather resources on the same randomly generated planet templates over and over again. Trash level design and trash exploration. Star field works for me but it’s mid af

Alright imma call you guys out on your bullshit. 1. No body bashed the game because it went exclusive atleast not me I based it off of the preview the wait time of Xbox fans keep screaming it's coming it's coming gets delayed that's when I personally said this ain't gonna be an amazing game. 2. Seen the showcase, Xbox fans again hyping it up to all hell like it's game of year or the "BEST RPG from Bethesda in a while". Why can't you compare it to other RPGs when it's in the same category. So when I saw the gameplay I made my judgement. Gunplay, No vehicles, 1000 planets that are completely barren, yes I want to travel the damn whole planet it's a space exploration game. No creativity idc if it's going to be a realistic approach you can always try to conjure up realistic aliens or what you think an alien in real life would look like. Inventory management is probably the worst out of any game it's all over the place. Quest are okay but to me there definitely is on par with dying light 2. It doesn't give you heavy consequences but having space police on your ass that's about it. Pronouns don't care how you feel politics piss people off it's a video game get rid of it. Dogfights aren't fun at all, your locked into the planet you travel to yes technically you can travel to other planets but you can't land on them unless you do it the way the game wants you to. Therefore breaking the damn immersion if your gonna have big planets atleast have a map exploring is cool and all but legit get lost in a barren wasteland. I do like it looks like real life but it does lacks color and life. NPCs definitely feel like NPCs facial animations still need work it's outdated compared to what we've been seeing over the years. But that's my rant. Glad y'all like the game though.
