I think the Laser skill for the explorer is playing to the mining laser, so it makes ore harvesting easier, and the laser weapons are just a bonus on top of that.

I know no one knows what the skills for Long Hauler and Ronin skills are but I am thinking about one of those two for the first play through, then maybe gangster for a second or third play through maybe.

Space gangster sounds like an interesting one, how will you be doing that?

@@siftingsanta I am guessing considering I do not remember half of what I have watched about the game, but Gangster might be the one where bounty hunters come after you and you have something to do with the Pleasure City Neon. I am going to guess the skills would be dueling, firearms and theft. Who knows it might have the player liked with the space pirates.

It will be interesting to see if you can make custom backgrounds, that would really help with some immersive character builds, specially if they don't have backgrounds to suit it

@@siftingsanta That is a great point, I hope they do. I do not remember off hand, but I do not think they had soldier or mercenary or intelligence agent or janitor or a lot of things when to comes down to it. I mean they had a lot, but there is so much more that maybe they did not think to add them or maybe did not have enough room and cut them, or that might be in an expansion at some point. I think this might be a game I send a lot of time on, maybe.

Thanks :) You have free will with your skill tree, the backgrounds just gives you a couple of starting skills for free to help you along your path. Other than that you can go for absolute gold!
