I can imagine the Valentine Pilot flying his ship into a meteor or a black hole to save the galaxy or something ready to sacrifice his life while the main player is forced to watch this man give up everything but hears him singing this on the comms as a last hurrah moment. That would be amazing.

I love this version. Where other versions seem to end on this bittersweet note, this one has a very 'set your shoulders and get to work' air. "We will get back to our true love."

thank you, that was definitely the idea. i really wanted to lean heavily into the shanty aspect of it. was definitely an interesting challenge to try to extend the song based on the one short verse we have from the game. love the way you described it!

While I first came across Tiq Rags' cover first, this is an excellent version too. Certainly a much more jovial tune, something I might expect to hear at a kitchen party on Akila.

Honestly his encounters are one of the best parts of the game, I genuinely smiled the first time I found him and gave Everytime since. In the dark dangerous lonely vacuum of space it's nice that there's a few people out there making the best for themselves

Fantastic job man. I really love this. Makes me a bit melancholic since such a great idea and performance is shackled to a straight up Ass game. But it takes nothing away from the fact that a cute little space shanty is such a rich and beautiful breath of life into the emptiness of space. The darker the cloud, the more precious the silver line I guess :)
