Starfield Updated Phalanx Ship Review

Given how the special effect of the Razorleaf is attached to the ship and not its components, hinted at in a computer terminal entry suggesting that the ship needs lots of upgrades, I was thinking of modeling its upgrades after a larger Deimos vessel like this. Then just pack it with an absurd number of weapons, and take it on runs into the Kryx system. The general shape and layering would allow for lots of weapon placements.

Good example of the Phalanx is the movie "300", though that had generally some interesting fighting coreographics. You can also find the "Phalanx" in certain history-inspired games. The ship here doesn´t look half bad either, but the round design of the engines collides with the mostly boxy and edge-y look of the other modules. Bethesda really isn´t good at designing their own ships. Granted, it´s pretty much the first game in which they have to design something that isn´t inspired by ´50s space age designs. It also means the stock ships need some serious re-touching as they are usually chosen more by aestethics than about effectiveness. Might look good, but sucks in performance.

It's amazing they put that big useless cargo bay in a ship carrying 200 cargo, maybe I'd replace it with that big control center hab. Nice looking ship, I just build an all deimos ship, a B class, I like the look.
