Oh thats where I saw him. The actor who played Nyan also played a guy who got fed on by a wraith and then shot himself so Mckay could help shepherd. (Or was that Nyan 0.o)

I read somewhere that the writer that created the character didn’t ever come back to write more episodes. And since he created him he technically owned the rights to that character so they couldn’t use him again. Not sure how true that is tho

Wasn’t the table with all their stuff still there? So they could have gotten more than a zat gun? Or did the Bedrosians pack it all up and ship it away? Teal’c had to use his gdo to send code and he was using an enemy weapon so I suppose it was Teal’c’s zat that Jack was using. (I always thought those “rifles” looked like steam irons on the end of sticks.)

Depends on the limits of it's power cell. Besides, there is the chance of accidentally hitting a target twice or even three times and that would be death and vaporization respectively so you're not completely free of responsibility.

I think that there is still a story that could be explored here in a 4th series. All they have to do is say Nyan gated back to his planet. We tried to contact him but for some reason were never able to make a connection. Years later Nayan and his planet contact us and we get the story of what has been going on with his planet for the last several years

or better yet, 15 years under daniel and other tutelage, he ready to go back and correct his people history and to unite his planet. They dial the stargate. Surprisingly it connects and a SG team is sent through. An goes from there. We should learn about his time on Earth, how he shared of what he knew of his people science and technology.

I'd imagine that the tech would be boxed and buried in a deep dark warehouse somewhere a la: Raiders of the Lost Ark. The Bedrosians would never allow alien tech to be seen by more than a handful of people to avoid a surge of heresy among the scientists. Also, given the tech they already have, it is almost certain that they have some form of Naquadah generators already, since their tech seems to be derived from Goauld tech. Most likely they would look it over and just brush it all off as Optrician props intended to create subversion.

Sometimes, the US Airforce requires us to bound magnesium to circuit boards so that they could have a self destruct fail safe. Perhaps they had that, though the Naquadriah core would still be left behind and you can make a bomb out of that without a lot of technology plus simple awareness that such an element exists opens up a lot of technology even though it's more rare than naquadah as it does not really exist naturally but must be transmuted from naquadah much as uranium 233 must be transmuted from Thorium and plutonium must be transmuted from uranium 238. Then again, the failsafe could be to detonate the generator but I would suspect that would be viewed quite negatively as it would be similar to a small nuclear explosion.

Despite the popularity of SG-1, Atlantis really didn't have a big budget with some episodes having 1/10th of the cost of the average SG-1 at the time.
