Anyone else like to think that Thor was observing them for a while, seeing this as a chance to see how a primitive species would get out of that situation.... And then starts panicking when the ship starts getting destroyed. "How interesting. Were I in their position, I am unsure how I would escape. Let us see what their primitive minds come up with this time" *Hull Breach appears" "Oh Shit, Oh Shit, Oh Shit!"

I love dialogues like the one at the beginning - it implies that the SGC does actually conduct intelligence operations and doesn't stay in the dark. Which makes sense for a military command. This is rarer than you'd expect in sci-fi shows.

Not to be a nitpicker but shouldn't that be interstellar negotiation? International is between nations. Interplanetary is usually described as between planets of a common star. Interstellar would be between stars of a common galaxy which this falls under.

Nailed it. Though possibly the difference might be a little fuzzy when you can step through a door and be on a different planet. At that point while technically true in practicality whats the difference? The planets in an interplanetary system and an interstellar one would be the same distance apart.

@septagram9491 Жыл бұрын
Guys, what do you think slingshotting means? It is something you do inside a solar system. You slow a planet a tiny amount and increase your own speed. There is no planet orbiting the black hole here, not unless the replicater ship left its artificial gravity on. And in real life, black holes are actually relatively harmless. If all the mass in a star collapses into a black hole, the orbit of its planets wouldn't be affected. The only thing that changes is how close you can now get to it (while not being surrounded by a sun's plasma), which is unlikely to happen even if you flew in random directions in the universe since black holes are very small.

A different time. In the 80's suits were massive, it was all about the shoulders. In the 90's made them slightly smaller but people still wore clothes which were too big. In the 00's, we slowly went to more and more properly fitting clothes. In the 10's we went from properly fitting clothes to clothes which were slightly too tight. Now we are moving to silly small clothes, like the pants which show a bunch of ankles. That's fashion for you.
