Michael Shanks deserves a lot more respect as an actor. The role of Daniel in SG1 gave him a huge amount to work with in his portrayal. Between this and the episode Legacy where one of Machello's devices cause him to have hallucinations and develop schizophrenia. 2 of his best episodes.

I love how Jack assures and comforts Daniel ! Like a big brother would! They always had that older brother- younger brother- relationship! Love it!😊

One of my two favorite scenes from that episode. The other is when he returns to Shyla's planet, fully sober, and Shyla sadly says, "You never really did love me, did you?" to which Daniel gently replies, "Well, I wouldn't be here if I didn't care."

The Tok'ra apparently claimed it takes away one's soul, according to a scene where Sam recalls Jolinar's opinion of the Sacrophagus and Teal'c translates a word she didn't understand.
