They put as much into the music as they did the symbolism, sacred geometry, motifs (both of the art props/ concept design & of the writing), writing, direction, production, acting, everything.

I always love that opening with the dissonant intervals. I didn’t realize there was so much variety in the flute solos. Both bass and alto? Very nice!

Just a few notes or phrase can develop a few characters, a landscape, the brightness of a new planet, the sounds of a strange animal and maybe the smells and warmth of of the air. Music recalls a memory much stronger than words or even pictures. Stargate is such a visceral memory that I doubt I will ever forget it. 🎉

I love Stargate. Its a fun pulp sci-fi romp. The THEME however is a masterpiece that elevates it way above its own merits.

This medley really feels like meeting a dear old friend, each melody coming up as a fond memory 'aaaah you are there too, I remember', so many emotions bringing tears to my eyes. Also I always seem to listen to the 'going home' titles as I arrive to my destination, it makes it so epic.

People seem to know him as the Bond composer, but in my view, his best work is literally every single thing he did with Roland Emmerich. Independence day, Godzilla and of course, STARGATE! I can never decide which of those is my favorite. Probably Stargate.

I don't know who the audio engineer was but wow the balance of the orchestra was so bad...the strings were constantly under balanced and that alto flute solo was soooo over balanced. I was going to blame the conductor but it seems more like the audio guy's faut.

Ten mix je upřímně trochu nepovedenej. Nahrávka z živáku zní líp. Nazvučit orchestr tak ať zní jako jeden ansámbl a ne jen kolekce nástrojů, to není jen tak.

Ono to nebylo nahráváno, je to spíše z kamery, a navíc ten prostor je obrovský, takže opravdu vyžaduje nahrávací vybavení a nazvučení. Tohle je spíše taková vzpomínka a tak. Na živo jento určitě lepší a skutečná nahrávka taky ;)
