FILM DESCRIPTION:
The irrepressible Stargate team faces their biggest challenge yet as they set out in search of the ancient artifact with the power to defeat the villainous Ori before they launch a devastating attack on planet Earth. The Ori are determined to exterminate all traces of mankind, but not if Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks), Teal'c (Christopher Judge), Vala (Claudia Black), Sam (Amanda Tapping), and Cam (Ben Browder) have anything to say about it. Heres the interesting thing about the Ori and other Stargate villains. Like the Ancients, the achieved ascension, but through religion, not science. Even though both of them are equivalent, it is about how the use their power and those that do not have it, much like the Tokra vs Goulds. Are the working with people, for people or are the just using them. Religion, as seen with the Asgard, is not inherently bad. Nor is cold calculation like the Wraith or the Ashen. It is how you use the power.

Beau Bridges was very good as General Landry, a shame he didn't get more time in the role. Season 11-13 maybe? integrate into a new show show casing Earth going from individual ships to full on fleet action in some cases revealing the Stargate to Earth maybe? Using Atlantis as the new SGC.

What I always found bizarre about this prior is why is he only has one eye? They have the power to not only heal but also restore body parts, one of them even brought Vala back to full health after she was burnt to a crisp. Surely this guy could restore his missing eye if he wanted to.

What's the meaning behind the burst into flames comment? I remember one prior doing that when he betrayed the Ori and gave earth the cure to their plague but it doesn't seem like Landry is referencing that because that was an act of redemption from what I remember. Landry more seems to be mocking the prior here
