actually swapping space dimensions through wormhole should be instant but you won't survive coz you'll be in disformed shape may be not possible for matter to exist in the gateway.

Light wave and After Effect? These software are old enough that it's actually quite likelly these effect were made on these software aswell back then, just, not the same machines, lightwave was quite popular with sci fi shows, when the Amiga was a beast PC.

Cool Effect. Are you aware that almost an exact copy of your cg animation is used in the show stargate origins? I mean it looks almost identical and that is interesting considering your effect is not identical to the 1994 movie. It’s as if they lazily copied your effect. The Effect in Stargate origins is seen at the end of episode 3.

The visuals do not make much sense. If its a wormhole like it's described, then there wouldn't be any space shots. It should be the same as just walking through a door.
