1/4 Impulse power out the door must've been amazing to watch on the big screen.

Being a shuttle pilot seeing an old starship firing out of spacedock would straight stop my heart😂

I wonder what would happen, if you went warp 5 out of the space dock doors.

Very cool, but I still am in the minority and much prefer Cliff Eidelman's score, but the edit here is still superb!

Awesome work, but where's the "Enterprise" across the bottom shuttle bay lip, and the "Enterprise" & "NCC-1701-A" behind the officers' lounge, aft top saucer?

Beautiful. Only one comment. You should have left the cut to engineering in there with Scotty laughing with his arms folded with the three engineers next to him in horror and disbelief. “We have a Code Brown in Engineering, I say again, Code Brown”

So I looked it up. full impulse is 167,000,000 mph/ 174,770 km/s. So 1/4 impulse is 41,750,000 mph/ 43,692.5 km/s

We just need one more movie now we have the 'D' back... some kind of quest for the 'E,' ending with them both battling together... and concluding with exactly what you've created.

After the Enterprise's 1/4 impulse power peel out of spacedock, Starfleet posted a great big banner over the doors saying, "Docking thrusters, ONLY! This means you, Captain Kirk".

I've watched this movie a thousand times, but it wasn't until I watched your revised animations of this scene a good dozen times (or more) that I realized how seamlessly your work blends with the theatrical release. Very, very well done!

I don't see what all the fuss is about, it's obvious you trespassed in a secure Starfleet facility with an unauthorized recording device and simply "filmed" the departure

I've watched this multiple times. It's just SO SO Good. This could be in a remastered edition of a movie and it would be a GREAT addition kind of thing. Please! Can you do it when they steal the Enterprise in "The Search for Spock" too?

Beautiful rendition of one of my favorite moments from Star Trek. The visuals are great, but the sound design is fantastic!

PS: One "error" that is one of my personal bugaboos - the shot coming out of Spacedock is sped up. The station blinkies are going way too fast because of this. It's like in scenes from old movies and TV shows when things are supposed to be going unnaturally fast and in the background you see people walking fast, cars moving fast, etc. Examples like in the first TRANSFORMERS film when the fighters were chasing Starscream and zooming around the LA skyline - the freeway traffic was also zooming along. Or in MEN IN BLACK when they first get in the car and Tommy Lee Jones zooms off - you can see pedestrians and background traffic moving way too quickly. I know, I know, just a nitpick.

Long-running impulse acceleration can get you up to relativistic speeds fairly quickly. Kudos for providing a sense of that scale at the end.
@AdurianJ29 күн бұрын
The ship is moving about too quickly on thrusters there is no sense of weight. Look at Star Trek 3 they got it right

Magnificent. I'm not fond of altering classic movies. But this does add rather than detract from the original.
