If wanna beat iolanda, I recommend chain knife. Long range and damage combo is good enough and the best thing is the if you master it, most bosses become childlike

For anyone who’s still on her, use the hold or bottom attack of the whip katars so you cancel her unblockable attacks, build up shadow energy, shadow attacks do a ton of damage on her. For anyone who wants to know the bottom attack reaches longer but the hold attack has a 3 combo attack, however with the hold attack you’ll draw her in and in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, you don’t want her to be close to you

@@JeevanraoDesai this comment was 4 years ago, so plenty of changes and other strategies have been introduced. The whip katars can be unlocked via any chest type so long as you are in chapters 7.1 and up. The main strategy with them is just hitting her to build up shadow energy, and then using shadow abilities for damage. Obviously this isn’t the only strategy, this was just the simplest one I found at the time. Overall, the main thing to look for is just keeping distance if you don’t have any major sets

By the way, I defeated Iolanda on impossible with whip katars. Simply use the heavy attack to drag her close to you and punish with the other attacks.

actually its easy, dont use shadow attacks at all as he steals your energy right away, can heal with basic attacks, so playing as heralds against him is worse than playing as legion cause legion dont need shadow energy and are the slowest to gain it anyway

Omg I was so afraid of this fight but I did it in 3rd try 3-0! Just equip legendary whip katars with (i had it on power 6000 :D) interference, time bomb and the special move. In the beginning of the rounds you have to do the move where you grap her and throw her down. Then roll back and do the heavy move. After this you must do the special move. I didn't work every time but when every hit hits, the damage is insane!
