No they definitely don't. Gen 4 was the first game where most everything was a good songs (just good nothing more with only a couple exceptions) but didn't sound like they belonged in a Pokémon game at all. By which I mean if you heard them outside the games first you'd never have guessed they were Pokémon songs at all. And this trend has mostly continued outside remixes of older themes. The legendary theme used for Rotom, Heatran etc. in particular is outright garbage. A bad and still worse BORING song that doesn't sound like it belongs in Pokémon? Get the fuck out of here with that shit.

the last pokemon game i really liked was BW2, they're severely underrated in my opinion. XY was way too easy and you can tell they spent most of their resources porting all the mon models to 3d. sun and moon are actually the first pokemon i've played in a while i had a decent challenge completing, and got me pretty engaged. if you're like me and were kind of burnt out on pokemon I'd say sun/moon are worth a shot
