Meanwhile, in Taiwan: A guy started to attack people with a knife, and a random guy stopped him risking his life. When the news asked him why did it (I suppose they were expecting something like "it was the right thing to do" or "they were my family/friends"), he answered "it's what Himmel the Hero would've done", and walk away from the attention, knowing that anything else would be pointless...

It's nice Millet checks in after each episode at least.

First of all, I'm a little sorry if my English is a little strange because I don't understand English. Also, please understand if this seems like a long post. Himmel defeated the Demon King even without being able to draw his sword. The true hero was the one who defeated the demon king regardless of the weapon. In the real world, for example, no matter how expensive something is, if the people handling it aren't top-notch, it can't be handled. Conversely speaking, no matter what tools you use, they will work well if the person handling them is top-notch. Stark's story was both sad and funny. Stark did a lot of good things. And although Stark's upbringing was bad and his father was said to be a failure, his older brother taught him kindly. The reason why Stark's brother is believed to have been killed is because there would likely be information like that if he were alive. And another wonderful word came out. Eisen said, "Everyone who works hard is a warrior." Up until now, it's been a sad story about Stark, but the interesting story is that after that, "A potion that only dissolves clothing" remained and Frieren tried to use it.

@@logansdomain I'm glad you liked what I said. This anime is difficult to watch unless you can read people's emotions, but from around episode 18 onwards, it starts to look a little flashier. Please look forward to that as well.

@@logansdomain I love this episode so much because it recycles my eyewater every time. There are many deeper themes in this episode alone that are too many to go into detail but it's here where we see how impactful any amount of praise is towards Stark. He's been deprived of it pretty much all his life. One of the reasons why I think this entire anime is so successful is timing. There is a serious lack of emotional support for each other in the world, particularly with young men. Much like when someone you admire tells you they are disappointed in you for something can be soul-crushing, the same is true for when that person says they are proud of you for something, it can uplift you. While there's a lack of that going around for everyone, it's particularly harder on young men nowadays because we are all assumed to just tough it out and keep going. I'm not sure how far along in the anime you are yet, likely at least a couple episodes ahead, but whenever you do finish the series you should check out Pey Talks Anime channel. He's been doing weekly analyses and breakdowns on Frieren since May and it's been great to see how the themes are explored from a story-telling perspective.
