Finally got a stark arg of my own.

@@LolliWANG505 No more engine oil no more gas no more air filters no more plugs no more clutch plates and electric motors are lot more reliable just for the simple facts they have a lot less moving parts and produce much less heat than a two stroke and even less moving parts for four stroke gas engines so they will last longer and require much less maintenance.

That's not 80 horsepower, this bike is being exposed through snow bike kits as a sham. The battery is not up to the task maybe 20 horsepower constant. It is embarrassingly slow in the real world.

@@antony.w.4790 Test? Idk, but example yes. There is a snow bike channel here on yt. They took a new varg, put a small snow bike kit on it. The video clips show a 80hp varg struggling on hard packed snow. The guy who owns it said in his comments "Reality is, battery tech isn't there yet". Without the video example, I know the 80hp claim is false, it's a manufacturers ice equivalent hp rating, aka total bs like a Wal-Mart car audio amp 10,000 watt rating.

​@@Dat_Sun Modern batteries can lose up to 50% of their performance when they get extremely cold. Basing the hp of the Vark from a snow environment is not really "fair". It is a known problem for batteries and is to be expected, no one said that its perfect for everything. Its power should be measured at room temperature or higher if you want to compare it to manufacturer claims.

Nice to see battery life seems more than enough for the average rider! The hour meter of my SXF350 sometimes pass an hour of track riding, my best was something like 1.5 hour. My friends and I are usualy tired at this stage. I know racers are in way better shape so maybe a little charge during the day and I'm more than positive nobody will stop is day because the battery is empty.

Sick! I would love to try one of these...2-Stroke is my preference but really, I don't care what powers it, I can have fun on anything with wheels and a motor or engine. It would be a bit weird to watch a race with all electric bikes because of the relatively quiet operation, but we'll see if that time ever comes. It would be cool to see you out there for a SX or MX, but who knows if the other manufacturers will ever allow it.

It seems like someone needs to try a push button regen, and then you can map how that button rolls in and out, or even use a lever for it like a brake. I think there is some innovation to be made still, especially considering everyone talks about not having to shift, no clutch, etc.

Two problems, if you ride it hard at full power you only get a little over 1 hour of riding time, about 1 hour and 5 minutes to go from 100% charge to 10% charge. Then it takes 2.5 hours to charge it back up from 10% to 100%, that is a big problem, when it takes 2.5 hours to charge it for 1 hour of riding time that is a deal breaker for me. The 2nd problem, if you ride it a lot, after 500 hours of time on it, the battery will go bad, then you will have to buy a new one from Stark Varg of course, and pay them a whopping $7,000 for it. Deal breaker times two. Until they can get the charging time down to 30 to 45 minutes, and get the cost of a replacement battery down to about $2,000 I will not be buying one. So what do all the Stark Varg fan boys have to say about that. I love the bike, as fas as the technology, and how it works and rides, and I would buy one tomorrow, if not for the two problems I wrote about above. None of these Stark Varg fan boys will say a word about what I am writing here, I have left this comment on 4 or 5 other Stark Varg videos on youtube and not one person will address the issues I have with the Stark Varg, they just ignore them, and talk about how fast it is and how good it handles.

the thing that kills it is the charging though. You get your ride and then done for the day. Gas is still better in that you can spend 2 minutes fill it up and ride more. Once they get swappable batteries or fast charging (not even a thing in automotive yet) then it might make more sense.
