the reference to glee would actually be considered a "meta-reference" (i believe). though the joke is definitely mean for the audience, they character's are not addressing the audience directly; it's not like "hey, audience, you know glee?" and keeri giving feedback on the dancing would just mean that the song climate change (and by extension, the dancing) is diegetic, or it exists in the universe of the show. i feel like i'm over explaining this my knowledge from my theatre studies has literally never come in handy before!
