Technically I don't think AVPM was their first musical per se - they'd done a Lord of the Rings musical the previous year with most of the original group, of which a clip exists somewhere - but "Starkid" as a defined group didn't exist until Draco's "Starkid Potter" line in it, and more importantly it was the first one they filmed in its entirety which is the real reason we look at it as their first. But if their earlier stuff at college had been filmed and uploaded, we'd be calling those Starkid projects too even though they wouldn't have been at the time of production.

Might I request 2 Starkid things: 1. Treasures of the Past: Gollum, which is something that they did as part of a Lord of the Rings parody before AVPM, before they were Starkid. Nick Lang puppeteered Gollum. 2. Unsung Starkid. It’s out there on KZbin somewhere. Just look it up. Basically, Clark Baxtresser and Jeff Blim (who is pretending to be an old lady for some reason) host a small event in which they perform some songs that were cut from their shows.
