To be fair, Jeff wrote all the songs, so he knows how they should be performed. I don't know about Jeff actually being Max. I feel it would have a hint of chaotic that I don't think is really Max. Max stikes me as more of ego and having a god complex.

From what I've heard in starkid livestreams where Jeff has talked about NPMD originally it was going to be that Jeff would play Max unless they found someone better for the role, and then they found Will who played Max in the show

i think it might be a mixture based on my recollection from the evening show. jeff's "ello london" intro bit sounded like what i heard live (and i've seen another clip of it that was a little different), but i specifically remember joey messing up a bit of the high school is killing me choreography that he doesnt in this video so i think its a bit of both!
