People always tend to compare Starkiller with Rae. Starkiller was still TRAINED by Vader. He was just very smart about how to use Force lightning. He was on par in his use of Force lightning with some of the Ancient Siths.

They've already said that the version of Starkiller seen in the games will never be Cannon, that type of power would be ridiculous to give some random child of an escaped Jedi. In any live action or Cannon adaptation he'd be about on par with Obi Wan.

So take into account when kal uses force push he makes a little shift in the air... Now compare that to Star killers force pushes. One would be like getting pushed with mild gust of wind while one would be like getting pushed so hard it can go through steel. I mean kal was struggling to push enemies away and pulling his lightsaber to him while starkiller was blowing holes in buildings and pulling star ship out of the atmosphere and into the planet. I can imagine in my head kal force pushing starkiller and pushing him back a little and starkiller force pushes him so hard kal starts going through buildings as a result. There would be no fight...... It would be a massacre. Not even fucking remotely challenging for starkiller as he was taking lightning blasts from FUCKING SIDIOUS

I agree that he is op, but two things: •He worked for it whereas Rey was just magically strong •Rey is the protagonist of a film, where the character should endure struggles and fail before eventually succeeding through skill or teamwork or something else, whereas starkiller is the protagonist of a game, where the player should be able to gain overpowered abilities later on to make weaker enemies not be a hindrance

Starkiller bores me to tears. I guess that's because I don't play video games. In the context for which he was created, video games, he's probably good fun. I certainly don't begrudge anyone they're enjoyment of this character, but it just seems like he doesn't quite fit in the world of the movies and shows and such. Well I see why you say that he isn't interesting because you haven't played the games. Because I completely understand that just hearing somebody's abilities with no other context can make him seem just overpowered and uninteresting, but the games do have a very interesting story and really develop his character and he's really is just a very interesting character in general which is why he's so beloved to this day. It's completely fine that it's not your cup of tea, but I'd at least recommend that if nothing else you watch a compilation of the cutscenes for the first game on KZbin because it's a fun game.
