Starla I am so sorry to bother you I know you are a very busy woman. However I’m at a loss and not sure what to do. I just opened my shop a few months ago and a month ago started listing. I had people try to buy from me but it keeps saying oops something went wrong. I let Etsy know talked to them on phone. They said they are working on it. I just not sure what to do. Any advice on what to do. I am so stressed out and you are so knowledgeable. If you or your community can think of anything please let me know . I am so broken hearted and discouraged. That sounds like an Etsy glitch that only Etsy can fix. If you are having issues getting Etsy to act, (they are slooooooow) then maybe prompt your customers to contact support too since they are also being affected by being unable to purchase… I’ve long had the impression that the customer service team than shoppers deal with is more efficient than the one sellers are stuck with.

@ thanks so much. I was on the phone and chat room. They said they would send it over to the engineer department so I really do. One of my would have customers reached out and gave him the run around.

@ I just hope they can fix it. Found out that I’m stuck on the Etsy payment part. My end shows not enrolled and on Etsy end they say I am.

Oh dear, I’m surprised they gave him the run around since the customer is usually king with Etsy. Also worth asking your customers to try a different browser from what they’re using or the app…. Etsy is continually tweaking things and there were a bunch of odd ‘updates’ to the site which looked more like glitches just before Xmas but weren’t visible on all browsers/app.

@ we tried all that it’s so crazy. He tried different payments I tried different browsers but my end Saids I’m not enrolled in Etsy payments so nobody can purchase now I have more people with my products in cart but nobody can buy. We have tried almost everything besides starting all the way over which I don’t want to do because I will lose customers

I am too late for the live, but is there a different impact to one’s shop depending of if a listing is deactivated (immediate removal) or simply not renewed (I.e., the listing does a natural death)?

Not in my experience fwiw. I deactivate listings all the time when I am restocking or simply don’t want to make that thing for a while. They behave just the same when reactivated whether it’s something that went out of stock naturally or was turned off. The longer they’ve been out of action, sometimes seems the slower they are to get going again. Boosting it temporarily with an ad can sometimes help it regain momentum if it’s a listing that usually gets regular sales.
