The most popular way to shop is to sell your own designs by employing designers or offering design services like 3D modeling, or through clients that you work for. Using an Etsy Shop template could be the right way to answer their questions. This comprehensive guide has walked you through the basics of starting an Etsy shop and teaching you an take advantage of what professional sellers have learned over years in the field. Hey Starla, I have been following your channel for a while now. Thanks for the free PDF with the emails you should send to customers during and after the purchasing phases. Where do I add these emails in my Etsy shop settings?
@StarlaMoore
@StarlaMoore Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately you cannot automate the messages but you can save them to your Etsy snippets so you can send them with a quick click. Here's a blog we created at erank that describes how to save messages as snippets: help.erank.com/blog/blog-how-to/save-time-in-etsy-messenger/

@@StarlaMoore Thanks, I have added each of the four in its own category. So now I just reply to customer messages by choosing the appropriate one of the four? Will Etsy or Printify send me messages for each of the four steps first?

I don’t think it’ll be hard as long as you sell what’s trending and the more good reviews you get, the more sales you’ll get on your Etsy shop 🥰
@StarlaMoore

Exactly! Etsy wants to recommend items with great reviews to more people in search. So it all builds over time! 💜

Hey Etsy expert, I need a tips from you. Actually I have an Etsy store mostly where I sell some Home décor item. Sometimes I'm facing problem of Etsy handmade policy violations, But I have seen that lots of people already selling that kind of products for which one I got violation. Can you give me some suggestions for that reason?
@StarlaMoore
@StarlaMoore 2 жыл бұрын
I wish I had advice for you, but based on what you've said, it sounds like you're breaking the rules. Etsy is for handmade, print on demand, digital, and vintage items. If you don't sell products like these, it doesn't matter if others haven't been "caught for it". You're breaking the rules and should probably seek a different platform that is more suitable for your items, such as Amazon.

Can you please tell me how Etsy takes out the fees for buying their shipping labels on their website? Do they take it out from your sales or straight through your bank? I've tried posting this question on different Etsy Facebook groups, but never got help or answers.
@StarlaMoore
@StarlaMoore 2 жыл бұрын
The shipping labels will be subtracted from your normal Etsy account balance, not direct your bank. So it'll go into your seller fees. 😉

I had £100k+ Etsy sales in the past 2 years, this year it has been £4k...it's too late to get big on Etsy unless you have a unique product backed up with copyright or a patent. Etsy is simply too flooded now & there are many sellers selling for little more than postage costs & I had a business during the 2008 financial crash & it was nowhere near as bad as now.
@StarlaMoore

I dont agree. I help thousands of sellers and your results don't necessarily reflect the majority. What you are likely experiencing is the fallout after the etsy pandemic wave. 2019-2021 were anomalies. The traffic patterns we experienced on etsy were far from normal. Now what we are seeing is the marketplace resuming what is a very normal traffic pattern for spring and summer. There is so much you can do to drive your own traffic to supplement some of what you've lost though, which is what I've been focusing on in a lot of my more recent videos. It isn't fair to say that it's too late to be successful on Etsy just because the pandemic disrupted the natural order of sales patterns. I've been selling on etsy and working with etsy sellers for over 10 years. Compared to pre-pandemic shopping, we actually have MORE traffic on the platform collectively. As sellers, it is our responsibility to build funnels in order to keep our traffic flow and to stay current on monthly keyword trends, social media marketing, and maintaining our listing quality scores. SEO isn't enough for any marketplace. There has to be balance.

im sorry but am I missing something....your shop only has 72 sales..so how are you a professional Etsy coach? im not trying to be rude but im just curios to know.
@StarlaMoore
@StarlaMoore 2 жыл бұрын
Not rude at all! 😊 It's a question I hear all the time. The shop I refer to in my videos (AlphAdapt) is a test shop that we use for the purpose of running experiments on SEO, and for the sake of recording videos and tutorials. It's not by any means a "successful shop," but that's not it's purpose, as we only sell merch related to our channel and audience, so the niche is small. We use this shop, rather than any of the active shops we work with/on/alongside for 2 reasons. The first is conversion damage. When creating videos on KZbin with a primary money-making shop, people will of course come from KZbin to investigate the shop with no intent to buy. This causes the conversion rate of the shop to tank because, though the shop has a lot of traffic, the traffic is on there for the sake of exploring, rather than buying - thus, the conversion rates will drop. The second reason is experimentation. We do things in the AlphAdapt shop to purposely hurt ranking, then do things to drive our ranking back up, in order to test the latest SEO theories and ideas. Obviously we would never want to purposely damage the ranking of an active shop, or a shop we work alongside, so we created AlphAdapt for this purpose. My primary Etsy credentials come from my work behind the scenes. I am a manager at eRank.com, which is Etsy's most popular Etsy SEO tool and one of their approved integrations. Working for eRank means that I gain access to Etsy news, API data, consumer data, and things that the general public do not see. It also allows me to run tests and experiments with real thousands of Etsy shoppers in order to collect data that no other Etsy coaches have access to. This is why having the AlphAdapt shop is important. When I hear something new in the world of Etsy SEO, I always test it before I teach it. Many coaches base their content on rumors and hunches. But here, we test everything we teach, and we make sure our information is accurate before ever sharing it to the public. But it doesn't stop there. From 2012 to 2020, I also ran a top 1% Etsy store, which we actually just recently closed due to supplier issues. My audience for that shop was over 25,000 and we were featured in major news and media around the world. The shop still exists but it's been closed since the 2020 holiday season. You can find it here: www.etsy.com/shop/ArtbyStarlaMoore Unfortunately with the supply issues we encountered, I decided to move more into the back-end of Etsy, as I am significantly more passionate about teaching the mechanics of Etsy and working with data that no other coaches have access to. Lastly - I'm not just an Etsy coach! I'm also a public speaker and general business coach as well, which means I sometimes speak at local colleges and large-scale events about topics ranging from traffic funnels to the invisible triggers businesses can create in order to build psychological appealing brands. Before Etsy, I was a pre-school teacher and I studied human psychology, which has allowed me to take an approach to teaching that most don't incorporate into adult education: visual learning. I'm personally a visual learner, which means that I struggle with nitty gritty things like numbers, percentages, etc. By turning those harder-to-grasp concepts into visual metaphors and fun abstract examples, I'm able to help business owners who struggle with the ugly "numbers" part of business. In short - I had a very successful 6-figure Etsy shop for a very long time, but ultimately decided that coaching sellers and working for eRank was something I enjoyed much more, as it allows me to help thousands of people. We currently have over 800 successful students who I coach in the mechanics of Etsy SEO, consumer and brand psychology, and neuromarketing - which no other Etsy coaches currently offer. If you stick around my channel long enough, I promise, you'll understand exactly what sets my content apart! 💜 If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to let me know! We also go live every Friday at noon EST to answer questions from our subscribers. 😊

Oh! I guess I should also add that I'm currently working on ANOTHER Etsy shop (because I'm apparently a masochiost, haha!) that I'll be using for even more videos about EXTREMELY niche products and how to be successful on Etsy, even when your items are catered to a very specific type of person. This shop isn't something I'm able to share yet though, as I'd like to keep my stats completely organic for some time before announcing it to the public. If I were to mention it now, the growth wouldn't be organic, as I'd be directing traffic to it, rather than allowing the SEO time to work on it's own. My hope is to reveal the growth stats of that shop sometime this fall, alongside other marketplaces as well including RedBubble. ☺
