i think if they swapped the drop seats for a brig then it would make the perfect all around small group bounty military mission running ship. i might get one then I wanted the smallest ship possible that has a med bay brig hanger space for ship and ground vehicle and some cargo space.
@pegasusbs623723 күн бұрын
That's honestly such a cool idea, I think that we can eventually buy pods tho to store people in (probably less reliable then a brig/ship pods) but we can always shove them in the back!!
@slyguy16us23 күн бұрын
@@pegasusbs6237 yeah hopefully but the jump seets would still feel waisted to me tho I did by the upgrade CCU just in case. will see how the game evolves over the next couple years
@Sleek11021 күн бұрын
I think you get get prison pods that link to cargo grids, those floating beds they showed in grew box for bounty hunting v2
@reecechapman-spencer73096 күн бұрын
Yeah I really don't get or want the jump seats.
@durtyred862 күн бұрын
It would be a waste of space. You don't need a brig when you can just use the cargo grid to put down portable containment cells. Cryo, electric, or just a regular box. Doing this opens up the ability to turn any ship with an 8+ scu grid into a bounty hunting ship.

Looking to put together a collection of CCUs so that my son would have the option of turning his Corsair into a TAC one day. I'll probably stick with a MAX or a BLD myself. I love the Habs on the MAX.
@AccidentalFriendlyFire18 күн бұрын
If the goal is anything like flying solo I'd strongly recommend sticking to the Corsair. But also never apply CCUs before flying it as you intend with all systems that affect it being in. Look how things like Master Modes, power management, and even just recent balance changes have dramatically affected some ships from just the beginning of the year, and extrapolate that out over an unknown but lengthy time with fun born engineering, control surfaces, and Maelstrom still to come. :-)
@Storm-Cleaver18 күн бұрын
I'm the same, I'll build CCU chains but I only apply them to the point where I'm flying a ship that's currently live, not an unreleased ship with a loaner.
@AccidentalFriendlyFire17 күн бұрын
Oh, no, I'm worse than that. When I realized the MSR actually sucked compared to what I wanted, or felt it was supposed to be, and it was my Daily Driver (this was when I found out about erkul, and how fragile and not maneuverable the MSR actually is), I looked at every ship and decided to go with the Corsair for my DD, as I'm a huge fan of CR's Very Heavy Fighters like the Corsair Titan from Freelancer. Later, though, I found out how many systems were still not in the game, like Maelstrom, and realized just how badly the Corsair might wind up as a solo DD. I was already collecting CCUs (the Corsair was actually a partial chain to something else that I applied at that time), and now I have a list of over twenty ships I'm constantly re-evaluating for my DD based on my own personal desires for that type of ship and the changes that get introduced. The MSR and Corsair are still on the list, but the previous top contender - the 400i, which I dislike the looks of but I'm much more about function over form - has more dropped considerably due to an the recent balance passes that have honestly taken it into a dark alley and shot it repeatedly. :-) Word is just yesterday they dramatically reduced its fuel tanks. But because I'm still using the Corsair, am not doing heavy combat with it, and have it as a temporary stop on a chain, I'm not regretting where my ships are. Maybe I'll keep it, maybe I'll continue the chain. But no more applying the CCUs until Maelstrom is in, engineering and Control Surfaces are in, more balance passes are in, and perhaps most importantly... Not until more ships have come out, as the ideal ship for me might still be an unknown concept. ... But it's not the Intrepid, I assure you of that. :-D

So happy to hear about the mini freight elevator for ballistic weapons, this gives a reason for more multicrew gameplay - especially for mechanic/engineer crew members... Imho it also would be a deterrent for fighter pilots to engage hammerheads and large ships fully geared with ballistics
