6:58 Are you sure that networker came from Dover as what I read on the front is ‘Out of Service’

You are probably right! I did not put as much effort as I do now into my headcodes so You’ll have to let me off on a 6 year old video! I’ve considered re-making this video with my current style, what do you think?

+thetransporthub Hi Mark, thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you like the captions, its hard work (Especially at London Bridge) but I think the outcome is work it. Keep an eye out on my videos, there are some small extras (Jokes or service names!)

As someone from Australia Trains in London make me so jealous, so much variety in all the trains, way more than what we have, you have more variety in one city, than all Australian cities combined, saying that I think you'd still find our trains cool, I have some videos on my channel and it would be good to hear an outsiders opinion on our trains, whether you like them or not
@missdoglover16446 жыл бұрын
dan b the reality is they’re dangerously overcrowded, smelly, no working toilets and unbearably hot with no aircon on the metro routes. People pay £2k-£5k per year to stand for up to an hour crammed in like sardines.

I do like the sound of railway pinch, quite musical!!? Is it the rail or the wheels making the squeal or both? Imagine it in steam days!!
@StarlifeStudios9 жыл бұрын
Hi, It's definitely an interesting sound. It's a part of the wheel called the flange. When a train goes round a sharp corner, the sound is made because of the curved rail is grinding against the flange of the wheel. In this case, due to the large amount of use, the rail has become deformed over time to include small curves in straight sections. Because of this increased wheel wear and track wear will be done. The process is largely unavoidable due to the required train paths. Thanks for your interest!

The railways make the noise because the railways are steel bars that are connected together using chains and when trains ride on them they bump up and down

Quick question how does a train from cannon Street loop back to cannon Street?
@StarlifeStudios3 жыл бұрын
The southeastern metro network includes several ways which a train can loop around, most of which include Slade Green or Crayford. Hope this helps.

Using Google maps on a phone you can sort of see when trains depart and the route they take by tapping on the station and route

I typically get a list of all the expected trains and then, using the front destination, I write the numbers against each service on the day so that when I edit the video, I know what is what.

At 11:58 No that wouldn’t have been from Hastings as 465s aren’t cleared for the Hastings line so idk where you got that service from
@StarlifeStudios2 жыл бұрын
Hi Louis, you are correct. This service is actually 2D54 from Gravesend to London Charing Cross. Thanks for watching.

Why was a 465/466 running from Hastings
@StarlifeStudios4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lord Everything, If you talking about the clip at 11:57 - I reviewed my notes and the video screen information for this service (1H60) from Hastings and the following service at 13:12 (2D54) from Gravesend are the wrong way round. So the first is 2D54 from Gravesend with the 465s and the second is 1H60 from Hastings with the 375s. That's a really good spot - as you can imagine, its pretty difficult to stay on top of it all when its this fast! Thank You.
