Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. This isn't just amazing, this has been truly epic. Plenty of variety going on and great shot of the class 47 dragging the Electrostar unit. A shame they are now on storage. Hopefully their future will be for the better :-)

Thanks Ricky 👍🏻 The 387s come in all shapes and colours on Great Northern and now even GWR Green has joined the mix!!! The 379s are superior to the 387s in just about every way and I hope they find use. I have heard rumours about the 387s ending up with Southern and the 379s returning to Great Northern but I’m not sure if these are confirmed.

Such a shame, the 365s were great units and could have been upgraded to modern standards instead of scrapping like with the 321 Renatus units.

@@bobsteryt Thanks, that's sorry to hear. But ultimately speaking, these are instrumental tools for a practical purpose, as all trains are. But they are IMO the most attractive OHL AC suburban EMU Britain's ever had (pre-facelift!)

On a good day the variety of trains on the ECML is brilliant. Personally when it comes to trainspotting on this line I prefer the ECML stations closer to Stevenage/Peterborough (St Neots, Welwyn GC, Welham Green etc) because down there trains can go up to 100mph in accordance with speed limits. Nice video!

Thanks Ben, I believe ROG has stole most of these movements from you now so this was a rarity! Hopefully the 379s find some use, they’re good units and are certainly better than the 387s. 👍🏻

@StarlifeStudios Rail Videos yes ROG have certainly been doing the most. I think one of the moves failed and was stabled at Grantham for a while. Agree on the 379s they are good units and the first class was mega comfortable

Thanks! Hadley Wood is a good option, I like Hornsey as well but the line speed doesn’t increase to 125 until after Welwyn. Hope this helps you.

@fphtrains There isn’t really much nearby at Hadley Wood. Hornsey has the depot opposite so you’ll have trains all day but I guess it depends what you like! 😃

The 47’s were running when I started working at Haymarket MPD in 1974!! Then again, so we’re the 37’s and they’re still going. Almost fifty years. Where did that time go? Outstanding video, as always.
