If you think this stage is small, the actual one isn't much different. For those who think you're getting to see it for the first time after all these years, you're not - the new one isn't a patch on the original.

Apart from this performance and the excerpt from the new production of Oliver, the WHOLE show and irs presenters(self promoters😮😮) was ABYSMAL. UNFUNNY, UNTALENTED, SECOND RATE ACTS WHOSE ONLY CHANCE OF GETTING A GIG WAS TO DO IT FOR FREE. An insult to talented artistes/ performers of past generations. Hopefully we and the King, wont see any of them again. If I had paud for a ticket, even for the excellent cause it supports, I would feel cheated.

@bijouhodge1901 No, I can't dance on roller skates. What does my ability have to do with the fact that the new Starlight Express is clearly inferior to the original? Compare the two if you can remember the original, or find footage. The performers here are doing their best with what they've been given to work with, but several elements, including the choreography, are poor. The stage is small and restrictive with hardly any track. They can barely get up speed. The original was much more thrilling by comparison, more cohesive songs, the moving bridge, the rigorous training the performers went through. No comparison.
