Great info! We are just looking at a Starlink Mini to replace our Gen 2 which we run on a extended pole on the van. My biggest apprehension I had was if mounted on the car what the range would be and would we still get a good signal in the van (wifi range). You have addressed my doubts! Good time to buy as they have the Mini on special to the end of the month (Jan 2025).

Just a note. Mbps stands for megabits per second NOT megabytes per second as you said in the video. That's a factor of 8x difference.

@@terry9119 Are you equating a byte with a bit? It's a review on a communication device. Unit of measurement for speed is important!

Impressive content, Perth 4WD and Camping. Looking forward to your next upload! I smashed that thumbs up button on your video. Keep up the great work! The comparison between the Gen 2 dish and the Starlink Mini was really insightful. With the advancements in satellite technology, how do you think the Starlink system will evolve in terms of mobility and connectivity for off-road travelers in the next few years?

Thanks for the support! It’s a great question - internet is becoming more and more accessible for people across the globe which is a great thing! I suspect some vehicle manufacturers will start to begin offering this technology into their vehicle configurations and with Starlink’s Direct to Cell service coming, this will allow phones to access the service. A very interesting time ahead!

There is absolutely zero chance i will ever drill through the top of the canopy for a cable install…… ever
@Perth4WDandCamping3 күн бұрын
Plenty of alternative ways you could install it mate, but there’s zero chance of water getting in our canopy with the way it’s been installed and sealed up
