I can't wait for mine to come oo I ordered mine in august and am still waiting for it to be shipped they said they are targeting service in Nigeria starting in Q3 2022 and its December already so I guess I will have to wait till next year... am a gamer and heavy data user this will solve almost all my problems cus the money I spend on data alone ehhh yet still cant use it to how I want to... just cant wait

I wonder why the download speed test is 250-300mbps. But when u start to downoad files it become 30mbps. What is this?

This is because Speedtests are measured in megabits(Mbps), while download is megabytes(MB/s). 8bits = 1byte. All you need to do is divide your speedtest by 8 to get your MB/s speed.

He brought his starlink kit to Nigeria from UK... There is no starlink kit in Nigeria yet but this video is encouraging because if there is starlink internet point of presence in Lagos, that means Elon musk is getting ready to bring starlink to Nigeria soon. Likely next month. The official website still States it's coming to Nigeria Q4 2022. I guess they actually mean it.

@@manouhmanti7050 there isn't any guarantee it will work and if it works, you will be paying UK price for monthly subscription. If there isn't any starlink internet point of presence in Madagascar, your starlink internet latency will be very bad. Edit: also you have to pay a premium monthly subscription price in order to use a starlink internet kit anywhere you go. It's $135 monthly instead of $110 if you want to activate RV starlink you can use anywhere

@@cruisejay1991 it will work anywhere in Nigeria when it becomes available in Nigeria next year according to the official webpage. It's satellite internet from space so everyone in Nigeria will be getting the same internet speed and latency. The starlink router can connect to 128 devices at the same time but expect the internet speed to drop when many devices are using the starlink internet at the same time. The Nigerian monthly subscription price is $43/month and the price of the starlink hardware(dish and router) is $600. All the information is available on their official webpage. Starlink internet data is unlimited but Elon musk just introduced a fair usage policy in the USA and Canada whereby your internet speed is throttled down whenever you use up to 1TB of data within a month. This may also apply to other countries overtime. The good part is, the data used between 11pm and 7am is not included in the 1TB limit so it's wise to download heavy sized files like video games around that time. Starlink will be the best internet option in Nigeria for those that can afford it. My main problem with starlink internet is both the hardware and monthly subscription price can only be paid in dollars. There is a $20 monthly limit for international transactions using Nigerian MasterCard. Another minor problem of starlink internet is it requires electricity to run the starlink dish and router just like DStv.. So if there's no electricity, you can't use starlink internet. This won't be a problem for those who have alternative source of electricity like generator or inverter
