Good content. Just ordered mine and luckily I set up the account and bought through the website before the Starlink kit arrives. Now we wait for arrival and take notes and points that you've highlited. I got the Kshs.6500 package as I am in the Eastlands area and the same Kshs.6100 is what I pay for Zuku for [60mbps download and 6Mbps upload], anything above100mbps download and 10mbps upload for the Kshs.6500 is a major win for me. Looking forward to your next video. If you're looking to buy though, I implore you to get the Starlink Gen 3 or better yet the Starlink Mini from the reviews I'm getting online. Today being the 14th - AUGUST - 2024, getting the Starlink Gen 2 kit @Kshs. 29,999 within Nairobi, Kenya is a hustle and a tussle; major supermarkets have run out of stock.

Yes it can work with other routers but you’ll need the Ethernet adapter that’s sold separately

Yes, you have to buy an Ethernet cable for Starlink Gen 2 [Actuated], then Gen 3 which is pricier and currently not available through their website in Kenya, it's router is WIFI 6 in contrast to Gen 2 which has WIFI 5, and the Gen 3 router has two Ethernet ports of which you can use Starlink internet with any third party router and other Internet of things devices respectively.

@@African_josh These are things that are very hard to pick up form all videos. I have watched more than 10 Kenyan starlink videos. You guys are doing a great job. I think if you do avideo higlighting these kind of things it would really help. Some people are looking to travel with it every week to some remote location for work. Also its sad you cannot mount the router on the wall. Also I am not sure if we are getting the Gen 3 or not. Those of us who have not interracted are still so confusded by this info. Great video though.

Also a direct speedtest side by side comparison with existing suppliers like Safaricom fiber, zuku, Airtel box and the normal phone 5G network among others would be great. Tech guys assume that we know what 159Mbps and 40 mbps means. I can bet half of your viewers haven't even noticed the Mbps is in small in the upload. If you put it into perspective, we'd really appreciate.

It’s as easy as just keying in your location on the Starlink website , it’ll tell you what’s available in that area , from what I’ve been advised the residential package of ksh 6500 is locked to the location you registered while paying meaning you only have a radius of 1km . Outside that area it will definitely not work
