Here's a quick recap of my experience with Starlux Airlines. I flew economy class and overall wasn't mind-blown with it, but didn't hate it either.

Thanks for the economy review,. We just booked this flight blind without knowing anything about this airline. Good to know it actually looks pretty good. Thanks for putting our worries about being some really terrible airline to rest. it actually looks very good except maybe the legroom.

my pleasure! hope you enjoy the flight. the leg room is pretty standard. I'm 5'6" with shoes on and it was find for me, my bf is on the bigger side 5"10 200lbs and he was ok with it

@@holistictrish Thanks because "average" is only a word. Since I am 5'8' I know now I will not be suffering leg problems on a 12 hour flight. BTW I am a creator myself. We will be taking the newest Starlux route SEA-TAI-(CLK)🏝🏝 mid September. I will be sure to livestream the experience.

I agree! I saw too many videos that didn't resonate to the type of flight experience I was taking which motivated me to create one

Never seen an amenity kit in economy. Hopefully this airline will have flights to and from the East Coast of the US soon. Definitely want to try this airline because of the way the owner was kicked out of EVA Air by his family after his father who was the Chairman of EVA died.

@@holistictrish the owner of Starlux was the son of the second wife to the chairman of EVA and was the CEO I believe. The company was willed to him to take over, but the Chairman’s children from the first wife fought it and won, so they kicked the CEO out, who took a lot of employees with him, especially the FA’s. I think this is the main reason he was successful and why the crews do as well as they do. Don’t know if I would fly a Korean based airlines. Heard too many negatives.

That is a great question. I can’t remember how much of that I used. I think I recall it not being that great since we made the most from the movies available. I just searched on Reddit and people also said it was nonexistent.

how was your flight coming home? how long was your layover to get to the next terminal. I have a 1 hour layover, but I’m scared of missing the connecting flight.

oh yeah thanks asking! I forgot mention that with basic economy, you don't have the option to choose your seat :( we just politely asked one of our neighbors next to us if they'd be willing to switch with us, which they thankfully did

@@holistictrish thanks 🙏🏻 , I decide to pay a bit extra to sit at row 35-40 range, because I will be traveling with my elderly mom. I saw other videos on 50+row at the back, it was quite noisy and chaotic. 😅😅

nice video! Do you think you'd fly with Starlux from the US to Taiwan again? Debating between Starlux and United, but never heard of STarlux until I've checked flight options from the US to Taiwan

I didn't! I actually forgot that I'd have to pay more. Luckily the person next to me was open to switching with me bf so we could sit together

economy seats is sure small just for small individuals < i was in one but i paid seats and have choice were to sits and got lucky that third seats are empty !!!!

I've heard their planes aren't typically full. Did you pre-select your seats or did you risk it and select them at check-in? I am contemplating on paying for seating now so my wife and I can sit next to each other.

hmm it may depend on location. we went to Taiwan and the plane looked pretty full. We didn't pay the premium to select seats. I would recommend that if you want guaranteed seating with your wife, otherwise it's a 50/50 chance either you or your wife can ask the person next to them if they are okay to move!
