I met Buzz when I was seven years old. My mother that day, with no explanation, told me simply to put on a collared shirt, grab my Saturn 5 model and get in the car. When I saw who it was we were there to meet, I completely shut down. I was just very quiet and slowly walked up to shake his hand. He couldn't sign my rocket, but he happily gifted me a copy of his new children's book and signed the title page in blue ink. He pointed to my rocket and said "you know I flew on that to get to the moon." I just nodded. Meet your heroes. More than the hero that Buzz was and is to me, my mother remains to this day. I could not be more grateful to have been raised by somebody so caring and generous. I'm sure Buzz still has a few good years left in him, but for those of you that read this that won't get the chance to shake his hand, let me assure you that he's everything you imagined him to be when you first learned that great men had touched the heavens. He's one of the few people that possessed both the skills and discipline required to do his duty and the reflective wonder of a true explorer. Every one of those men came for America, but he truly came for all Mankind.

I feel like this could have been better. For me, the problems began with the awkward intro and dodgy editing switching back and forth between Clooney and Aldrin. I'd have also given them more space so the interaction felt lest claustrophobic. There were quite a few statements from Clooney that just didn't feel natural and it's not because he's a bad actor, it was because of the setup. Clooney is a good ambassador and the idea was cool, just poorly executed. Thanks anyways.
