The referendum was a legal vote that had to be followed. I don't think he has the legal right to do this. What is needed is a legal challenge to his meddling. As far as I can remember, before the referendum, Reform UK (Ukip) promised to make the UK leave the EU. The LibDems and Labour promised to keep the UK in the EU, and the Conservatives promised a referendum. In my opinion, perhaps none of the parties have changed their mind about this issue.

The point about Australia and Canada is that those are Commonwealth countries, so come under Immigration Service policies IS80 (on entry) and IS82 (after entry), which include the Working Holidaymaker scheme.
