2025 will be difficult for Starmer, he can’t use last year’s excuses. The money markets are getting nervous and the spread on guilt yields when comparing UK and German rates are widening.

He’s not being able to use the last government as an excuse this year even though he’s tried. I’ll never forget that on sky news’ videos about prison numbers overflowing a few weeks after the government took office, the majority of comments were blaming Labour. People think government can make changes to people’s lives in a few months when in reality it takes years to make positive impacts on things like health, education, transport and disposable income

Please stop with the uncritical swallowing of the idea that planning is the main obstacle to house building. Developers are sitting on a huge pipeline of approved housing projects.
