I have no complaints about mine it does everything they talk about you have to zoom into zoom in all the way to get the correct picture

1.47 . That`s the focus not the zoom. 40x60 in theory should mean 40x magnification with a 60mm lens. But as a dealer who sells monoculars every week, I would guess its 8x42, with basic fully coated optics, BK7 prism and a non waterproof plastic body. No zoom to be seen

As mentioned, I was guessing the spec, as in this case all the models look very much like mass produced generic stuff. Only sell what we recommend. Hence me not selling or trying this product. But going by the smart phone images through the eyepiece, all look low contrast and have loads of chromatic aberration.

It is worthless. Do not return it for a refund as you will not get one. Give it the kids and they will be able to see one another at 50 yards

Arc that's EXACTLY the same scope as they are selling as COSMIC SCOPE. Mine came with a case and tripod for 70 bucks I made a vid on it,if your interested so I won't get into it here. But I did get may money back. ya the smell is awful. Good vid though thanks for sharing. You're way nicer about it than me lol

I took a chance and ordered the starscope with a prepaid visa i got for Christmas. I was really hoping it would be as advertised, fog/water proof. I did not try to send it back, but I thought about it. I will check your review. They are really PUSHING these, a lot of marketing ads. I recognize other products being hyped the same way, So i am better educated NOT to get burnt twice! I thought maybe I could save someone else some money by reviewing this. Most of the reviews I saw when i was thinking about getting mine, are just marketing.

NO, you have to order the phone attachment with it, costs about $15 more, I saw a vid that said theirs broke right away, it is very cheaply made poor quality phone holder. There are cheapo tripods you can get at the dollar store, but none are available with this monocular. STARSCOPE monocular does have a screw-hole to attach/use a tripod. I do not have a cell phone, So I did not order the phone holder.

Enjoy the toxic contamination in the rubber from that Hellish country. As for performance, machine-made lenses are fine these days, so I'd expect it to work sufficiently well. Also, it's pretty easy to estimate the actual power of the thing. The 40 60 stuff is meaningless. REAL optics specify two things: Magnification (either fixed or zoom range) and the APERTURE (diameter) of the front lens, hence binoculars might show 7x50 which means 7x magnification with 50mm diameter front lenses.
