Starscream/Blitzwing [your stupid face(s)]

...This ship was NOT supposed to take over my brain this bad. Like. I thought Nanosec and Slo-Mo were going to be THE OTP from this show. They're everything I want and need and love. But then of course I had to be like "What if my two faves, who don't really even get along that well in canon, held hands" and I had to come up with a whole entire story for how they would go from annoying each other to being on opposite sides of the conflict to banding together to screw over Megatron, and once I've put that much time into a thing, MAN, IT COMES AROUND LIKE AN AFTERTASTE
Samantha and Nino who? (I'm kidding, I still ADORE them but these two just caught up)
Look, I could do a whole analysis on how if Megatron simply did not exist or had actually died the first time, Starscream and Blitzwing would have waaaay more time to figure out that they have a lot in common and were the pariahs of the Decepticons and maybe, just maybe, they could fulfill what they were looking for in each other, with Starscream playacting leader and Blitzwing being his guard dog, and Random!Blitz being both the bane of Starscream's existence and the best part of the whole deal because he CANNOT be controlled and will tacklehug without warning but that's kind of a feature instead of a bug - but this isn't to write off the absolute sass times that can be had with Icy, or the couples DESTRUCTION OF OUR ENEMIES time that can be had with Hothead -
...Anyway I won't do the whole freaking breakdown here. But if anyone comes in the comments and is like "Hmm, I don't know, there isn't much proof that they would like each other even if Megatron and Lugnut were out of the picture," I WILL compile my findings into a Google Doc
(I'm honestly scared that I will catch crap for this ship because it seems to be...very much not done in this fandom? I don't know if that's out of dislike or just people preferring other ships but AO3 was relatively dry and if there are already vids of them on this site, I couldn't find 'em. Which you realize only motivates me more)
Anyway I was going to originally just try to slap some crack together for them and call it a day (after all, Random and Star have THIS dynamic • HIDE AWAY ೃ⁀➷ / "ORIGI... and one day I may still exploit it for the memes)
THEN I RE-LISTENED TO THIS SONG ON A WHIM and my feels. My freaking feels. Look, I know this editing is absolutely just crack treated seriously. It was difficult to actually play this straight so it's a bit hokey (I had to fill seven minutes of feigned interactions and lip-sync). But it burrowed in my brain like a hungry cordyceps and would not let go until I had climbed to the highest peak of Mount BlitzStar to spread my spores
Also if I'm gonna be handed that audio from the end, I'm GONNA take it out of context and exploit it. Dream sequence it may be but it's been recorded.
I am so soft for these stupid, STUPID robots who are trying so very hard to be serious villains but keep tripping over their own egos and I just think they should kiss while shoving Megatron off a cliff with his jets disabled
(I suppose I should round out the triad by vidding some ProwlBee. And I do have a song in mind for them. Then hopefully I can move on to our regularly scheduled multivillain tribute programming. I warn ya, it's gonna be sad, though, because the series finale did NOT play nice to me for that ship and if you have seen it then YOU KNOW WHY)

Oh my god, this song is fucking perfect for this ship in so many ways and not just cause of Blitzwing’s MPD. Just feels exactly what an in denial Starscream would sing.

This was a JOY to watch. I'm honestly impressed you managed to vid a 7-minute song this well--I'll probably do a long one eventually, but anything past 3 minutes feels daunting for my edit skills
