@TheSilverwolf97 The worst ones were probably in the episode "Child's Play" Some of the cells were layered wrong. This one is one of the worse animation errors, usually the seekers are just colored wrong, but this one is the wrong model entirely. It's meant to be Dirge since he appears in the next scene.

It's explained in an episode of season 1 . They make less noise when they fly in robot mode. They were criticizing starscream for flying in jet mode .

The jet modes are for disguise, but deceptions in g1 all have anti-gravity modules.

@@TaylorKWH it’s G1, the franchise was so new at this time that they were still figuring things out, like this for instance, everybody can fly so there was no reason for jet modes, but it was cool to have jets to absolutely boost toy sales.

Most of the Decepticons are dumb not matter what the continuity is. You can read their official bio. They are either dumb, or have anger issue, or cunning and traitorous.

Blitzwing can change either jet fighter or tank. Meanwhile Astrotrain change either steam locomotive or space shuttle.
