Hoo-boy, I can't wait for this update to drop. I was too busy thinking about the new gear to even consider where the story would be going. While I'm faithful to the Atlas, it's obvious that it doesn't have the capability to fix it's issues. But I don't want to seem like a jerk to our beloved Apathy-Diamond either...

I choose the Atlas. The Void mother has done too much sketchy stuff in pursuit of her goals. The goal may be just, but her methods are too extreme.

Exactly! The last update painted her in the light of mother and savior - but it kind of breezed over all the shady “Abyss” corruption, hunting Travelers thing. Very “sus”, as my daughter would say.

To be honest, this video started because I wondered if the seeding a “new star” might change a systems generation in the way an egg sequencer alters a fauna’s generation. As I got going though, it seemed like to far of a stretch.

@@GhostLightXE if they did that they can even bring in gas giants that way you can take damage from the radiation belt if you get to close or if you get to close to the sun your ship will take damage, and if you fly into it it'll get destroyed immediately, and make like stations that uses the suns energy especially with all the different colored suns it will look cool, that way it will make sense instead of just making the planets orbit around nothing

That would be awesome - interestingly enough, the sentinel interceptors are already an”salvaged” ship type. Given how they’re crashed and partially salvaged when we find them, I think it’s easy to assume the Autophage would use this ship type. I would like to see Autophage NPCs more active in space stations and buildings.

I think we’d ALL like to see the void! There is some pretty good lore around it between the boundary failure terminals and sentinel pillars - but I want to go to there!

The update will be called Omega, not Starseed, it was already datamined the font/logo "Omega" with a dot below the letter A. Maybe starseed is the name of the expedition?

The one that says Demo when reversed? Oskar1up created that on stream. Go to Ray Reynolds’s twitter, he claims responsibility in the comments when Ray posted it on Monday. Very convincing though!

Oh, I see. I must have missed understood Oskar’s comment. Though, we did get a whole “crucible” expedition badge leaked with Singularity, which turned out to be nothing. Now, I’m not saying it’s NOT Omega (it definitely is during the trial period), just pointing to a potential plot point in the update based on datamined info. Why is the Starseeds title in the game files? Maybe ITS the title they abandoned - if so, maybe the Atlas Path updates and addition of the heretic core tell us why. Good info though, thanks!

@@GhostLightXE you made me doubt my own words 😂 so I went to check more in depth, I just tell what I see. The Omega font was indeed found in the files of the game, as I said, datamined, by the X user @stiuws2628, the rest of the composition was made by Oskar. The expedition decal seems to say Omega too, maybe (looks like) some things will be totally different on release, who knows 😐

They said there will be lots of updates for No Man's Sky in 2024 and that 2024 will be a big year for No Man's Sky so I think we will get 5 Updates for No Man's Sky in 2024

@@tylerthunder2001I think they say will be big year but they didnt say how many (lots) updates will be. 5 updates are too much i think. Consider that they have only about 20-30 people working on both games (NMS and LNF) and Sean stated that "now, more of half of their devs working on the new IP", 5 updates are 2 many. My understanding from that statement is that will give 2 or 3 BIG updates in 2024. But hey maybe im thinking wrong offcorse.

Hi Panagiotis! I don’t really know the number. The holiday expeditions got us to 4.48. I got 4.5 off the No Man’s Sky Resource site. Waypoint was the last “major” - we - whole numbered update and we’d had some pretty big releases since then. No matter the number, I’ve got a great feeling about this year!

I was looking back thru the time line and it doesn't appear size of the update is a factor in the number thereof. So just because it might be 4.5 or whatever doesn't necessarily mean it's big or small.
