This makes me cry. I see it as you're in love with someone so much and something has pulled you apart (break up or death) so you try and make it work with someone else (perhaps a rebound), but you'll never feel what you felt for that person. You keep trying to get it from someone else (broken souls) but they can't give it to you because your heart is with the one you love / loved and can't be with. Isn't that always how it is... Two people trying to fully connect but both being hung up on someone from their past, trying to mold thier lover into what they once had and still want. Those walls you can't seem to get over or let down. Even more so trying to feel love again for someone new but you've been hurt so bad before you just don't feel it for anyone even if it is all you want. However the lyrics are so painful too. It's crazy how in love two people can be and for whatever reason one person checks out. And if you're the one who didn't you're left there trying to understand why (not having any closure). After hanging on to every word I say, why do my words only ricochet? Like the song all I wanted to do is get to say goodbye but never had the chance to. What an amazing song and video.

Brandon Caldwell If you want to love, there is no way around hurting people and yourself. As if you climb a big mountain, it is a hard and long journey and without helping each other up, you will fall and get hurt. The higher up you get, the deeper the fall and healing you up will take longer. At some point you may think it’s unbearable and you don't want to go on hurting and getting hurt, but it's the only way to find your place, your happiness in another soul. If your partner is there for you and feels the same, there will be a rope, and pitons and it will anchor your life and protects you from falling. You want to help each other out, with much effort, attention to both of your lives and by loving and caring. There will be falls, small or big and there won't be an end in climbing the mountain of life.... But the day will come, when you realize, that you came to an understanding how your life should be for you. The journey, if alone or together with your partner gets to a point, where you can look back and say: "That was a heck of a climb, but I am happy i did it, because i can enjoy what i have, love and care for. Even if i only enjoy myself now, i experienced life, tried my best and had the freedom to find myself." Choices of action, reaction and time define our life, our personality. There is no best option, or path to take, only an endless circle of trial and error, over and over, until you take your last breath. Life is chaos, emotions like love are the core, the energy that drives us, keeps us going to whatever direction we choose. Without them... there would be no dreams, no questioning and no happiness. Order and justice in its purest form, cold, no individuality, no humanity...

Well, i mean, the heart and soul are basically just chemicals in our brain that get activated in different situations. So if we could find a way to produce those chemicals and the stuff the brain is made up of in the right way, we could potentially recreate those reactions or "Heart and soul" like you call it if we just add the chemicals in the exact right doses.

Theory: The original woman that died was the mastermind scientist. She created the man (cyborg) with AI, robotics, and her own DNA (they're dead ringers for each other) as her husband/assistant. As she died, she tasked him with bringing her back and gave him the instructions of what to do. When he couldn't restore her mind, he felt he'd completely failed his purpose and creator. These events weren't his poor choices, but her demands.

The video was flawless, but the lyrics really struck a chord with me, as it honestly depicts how I've been feeling lately. The woman I'm in a relationship with now... we used to just talk for hours, but now we hardly talk, and the times we do are just cold... empty, and I feel like this emotional wall... I really did build it. Anything I try to say in an attempt to bring back the old her just bounces off, and the wall only hardens. I suppose the video matches as well, as in a sense I'm trying to bring someone back who may be gone forever.

We both went through addiction and fought hard to get clean for our kids and ourselves. We still have our problems but work through it all day by day. I hope you find peace and can work through your problems and find the love and happiness you had in the beginning. It can seem like nothing you do will bring that back sometimes. And that giving up is the best thing you can do. But if you really love her and have the strength…don’t give up. Push through it and break that wall down. I hope these words helped in some way. Just know that you’re not alone.

Obviously starset has their storyline, but I have always seen this song as being with a woman whom you've loved your whole time being with her, but you eventually find that relationship ending trait she has. You keep throwing your love at her, but that one issue keeps growing larger and larger, and your love keeps bouncing off that "wall" more vigorously. He mentions he was the one who built the wall, so I wonder if it's his fault for looking too deeply into it. Those broken souls seem like past relationships culminating into this one though: each one more beautiful as you get closer to your SO but they can never make you whole because it's never the right person. It seems like the issue is with the man and what he brings to the relationship. Wanting more and more from the beauty but never having his ultimate

Actually yes, each one of their songs has multiple meanings. You can interpret them as colorful metaphors for love and being in a relationship, and that's fine and logical. However, they are also a sci-fi band, and so each song represents a scientific meaning. This one is about cloning - you can never create a perfect version of someone. Monster is about how cyber technology changes society. Satellite is about space flight. It's cool and I like it that these lyrics are so deep.

In some ways I see that she actually created him. If he was imbued with a developing A.I. then it would not be unreasonable to view her as a god? So if your creator/god died and you had access to advanced technology would you not try to bring them back? Consider this question in the context that this robot disregards both calculating logic and the common human understanding of death.

I believe this music video represents Thomas Bell and Haley Borden's story, as most of the previous music videos do. I agree with @Forcer's top comment, Haley had died because she was purely human, and Thomas took her DNA in an attempt to save her. Then, he euthanized other women and placed Haley's DNA inside of them, to try and 'reproduce' Haley in a way. I think this may have a connection with the Telepathic music video, where Haley duplicated herself in the Everything Machine. However, as @Forcer said, each time Thomas tried to recreate Haley, it didn't work, and the women couldn't survive. There was one time where Thomas had gotten the human body (or vessel of Haley's DNA) to live, but she had lost all of her human-like qualities. Thomas was beyond frustrated and in agony at trying to bring Haley back. He ended up burning the house (as seen in the background) with the Haley clone inside, using his ring. Then, Thomas jumped off the bridge and supposedly next to the real Haley's grave. This scene shows Thomas' true form, with wires in his neck and flashing yellow eyes. He is a humanoid created by the Everything Machine that was sent to the PROX (by Dr. Gregor) in a small rocket with ion-thrusters. Dr. Gregor, working with the Order, realized that they could 'print' humans and set them to colonize the PROX to work against the FEC's monopolization. Thomas Bell was Dr. Borden's assistant, and Dr. Borden's daughter is Haley. In the music video, the note, stained with yellow, read: 'I am sorry master. I failed to bring you back. Forgive me.' This could be signaling Haley, which makes the most sense, as that was what the entire music video revolved around, but it could also be to Dr. Borden about Haley, as Thomas did work for the doctor. If Thomas was talking about Haley, the address of 'master' is a little out of the blue, as they were lovers and engaged, as seen with the rings. Either way, the end of the music video showed five figures covered in sheets, which might indicate that they were the remaining Haley clones that survived the fire. The fact that the house was not burning in the background of that shot is possible evidence. Whatever the story may be, STARSET has yet again left us Messengers theorizing and eagerly waiting for more information. I commend their incredible partnership with Fearless Records for the music video. I can't wait for what's coming next in Immersion Part I.
@kmariep24256 жыл бұрын
As someone who only knows the "Transmissions" story, this makes a lot more sense than my theory. I thought that the woman "built" a lover, and when she died, he tried bringing his "master", his creator, his lover back.
@rae65146 жыл бұрын
K Pendy That defintely still is a possibility! I was merely tying in the rest of the narrative into this video. There is always a chance this might be a completely different path. I would recommend reading The Prox Transmissions novel, or comic! It provides excellent insight on the whole STARSET story.
@ughitstravis92432 жыл бұрын
The reminiscing, the hurt, the denial, the anger, the fury, the unwillingness to let go, and the refusal of love's loss. We all go through it, we can never get back what is torn from us and we should let go but don't ever let anyone tell you when you should. Its okay to hurt and feel hate for the way life flows. We're supposed to.
@za3676 Жыл бұрын
I appreciate your comment. I’ve listened to this song a lot, and just watched the video today. I thought after the video that this was about losing someone from death and not a divorce. But clearly everyone here refers to this in a break up loss. I still think of her often and truly I listened to this song a dozen times today, just bc of the memories it brings of her. Life goes on, sure has after two years, and I find myself wondering when I’ll stop having these “moments” where I fall into these movies in my head and feel the warm blanket with songs like this. But it’s not as bad as a year ago or another before that. Anyways thanks. God bless us all who have lived, lost, and loved.

The worst part of a breakup is to realize that beside you there's only left an empty shell of who you loved. And even when the person looks into your eyes like she always did but you can't feel any warmth or emotions directed to you, you've got to let go. Don't think this would end your life but realize it starts a new one. Start using everything you learnd to improve. If it didn't work out you were not meant to be with that person and now you get the opportunity to find the person that belongs in your heart. One day you'll stand in front of the person and in their heart will be a gap where only you and nobody else will fit in. This person will be the love of your life which would never leave you. Don't lose yourself in the past. You won't be able to see who waits in front of you with open arms and a warm place for you in their loving heart, when all you do is looking back. Stay strong and hang out there no matter how hard it might be right now.
