So we need a TV that we can change its orientation. Hidden speakers on four corner with this sound humming. Everything is remote controlled. We need a to hire a trekkie interior designer to ensure every furnishing is spot on. Also good carpenter is a must.
@DarkMoonDroid7 жыл бұрын
It won't work as a TV. You'd have to have an extra room behind the bedroom with black-out walls and a miniature planet the size of a volkswagon in the middle. That's the only way you'll get the 3-D sense. And even then, it won't be right. But it will be cheaper than the TV! I hope you do this.
@95TurboSol7 жыл бұрын
There is work being done to make 3d tv's without glasses so we might have a solution not too far off, but honestly I don't think you would necessarily even need it 3d, it would still look cool as 3d representation in 2d and still give a good illusion as a window.

You can also try listening to Classical music with a minimum number of instruments - such as early Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque compositions. Instruments such as lute, harp, flute, and harpsichord help me concentrate. The only "voice" music which has helped me with my insomnia is the Gregorian Chant which has, more than once, put me to sleep. However, different sounds of the Enterprise, and other "space" sounds have never failed to place me in an alpha state of mind.

When in the Navy back when it was the real Navy, I served on the USS Leyte Gulf then did some TAD on the Stennis. Both ships never had engine sounds that I could hear then again the A/C was always running and noisy. Today I sleep with a fan because of it and the fan I have was discontinued in I think 2006. It's getting old so this is the next best thing. :)

I also like it, altough a quick check of the dating system (where 41xxx corresponds to 2364/Season 1 of TNG, and each year adds another thousand block) suggests that this story takes place while the Dominion War is in full swing. Of course, this ship could be doing the whole "make as many first contacts/alliances as we can" mission that Enterprise and Excalibur were for parts of the conflict, so let's say we're far from the front, past the Typhon Sector and Deep Space 5....and now I've used my fannish pedantry for good. :)
