Rub a lamp, Andrew. We have to avoid burning ourselves down for at least another 60-100 years to be able to escape and go elsewhere as a viable group. That's just me picking a number in which there's a reasonable chance of working out the problems of ftl and destination, barring some stupendous discovery on both subjects. If we don't kill ourselves from within, we face that very real risk from without. Heck, even if we do work it out and find a place to colonize, PC dictates we end up taking our differences with us. Race or religious wars can occur in 2253 on planet Ursula Roscoe as easily as they can occur here.

@Raygun: People have been working on flight principles for hundreds of years and only (relativity) recently developed the mechanical ability to enjoy flight. We've advanced enough to recognize the physics limitations of interstellar travel and what needs to be done to overcome them, so no one here is blocking progress, just commenting on the reality we face. Education begins at home. FTL travel will be achieved by scientific luck or by investing time and resources in its development, but will we invest it?

The stars twinkled on the opposite side of the thick multilayered glass set into the metal frame of the starship. It held pressurized and temperature-controlled oxygen inside, allowing for life to sustain. This transparent pane was all that stood before the cold vacuum of deep space. A faint and low hum could be heard in the sleeping quarters-- the ambient sound of a functional man-made human habitat. The sound was continuing and omnipresent, like the resounding Om of the universe. It gave comfort to the creatures aboard, for it necessarily meant that their tiny bubble of Earth-climate was being maintained. After the years they spent on the starship, many could not hear it anymore. The only time this sound would be brought out of their subconscious and into the forefront of their minds, was, God forbid, if it ever stopped.

That Laserbolt Guy and so the only thing to do is insult the person sharing his beautiful words about the creator. The guy didnt even say any evil towards anybody yet you insult him...why? What has he done to you that caused you to hate him? The fact he believes that there is a God and you dont makes your blood boil to the point of calling him a “special kind of stupid”. God is love the bible says, yet you hate him and hate God by denying his existence. All people say “show me proof God exists”, i say show me proof he doesnt... there is proof all around yet for the people whos hearts are locked and ears are shut... no proof will ever be good enough for them unless God opens your heart and ears when the time is right. God deals with each and everyone one of us in a way that we all have MANY chances to know him and love him, yet if you refuse there will be nothing you can say on judgment day. God will never go against your free will for that is the gift he gave us. He just wants to love and be close to you thats all. If u had a wife or husband and they loved you because you forced them to...its not the same. He wants genuine love where your eyes sparkle when you think of him. When you do what he asks not as a religion but because you want to make him happy. He gave you life, yet many spit in his face daily and mock what he did for them by dying on the cross for their sins. “For God sooo loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son. So that WHOSOEVER believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
@danzjz39234 жыл бұрын
@@thatlaserboltguy8609 well how do you explain the fact that every culture has at least one god, then? how do you explain how the universe goes like clockwork? the universe is too impossibly elegant to have come from a random event. how do you explain how the big bang happened? there is proof god exists, it's just that the mainstream tries to deny it as much as possible, they don't want to admit god exists. an oil painting of a sunset is beautiful, but it is nothing compared to an actual sunset. a solar panel is efficient, but a leaf is more efficient. how do you explain that? Darwin himself admitted in his later life that macroevolution is false (if you don't know what that is, LOOK IT UP). how does the laws of physics line up so perfectly to form our universe? and to add on to andrew salhany's argument, what proof is there that god didn't exist? god isn't against science, people are using science to try to dethrone god, and that is not what science is for. this idiocy has lasted far too long.

Is it weird that I listen to this every night ? Somehow I can hear it, but the sound has a certain “taste” to it. No, not taste like genre of music, taste like, I relate this sound the a specific type of bread we have near the local market. Weird type of synesthesia...

I don't know a ton about audio or sound, but I know a bit. After both playing with an equalizer randomly, and then using the contour and gain knobs on my guitar amp that i use as a speaker sometimes, I can say with confidence that there is speaking hidden VERY deep beneath the white noise here. I cannot even come close to saying for sure what is being said, but I fear that this is put here with subliminal intent. If someone who DOES have experience with sound could help me to verify this, that would be awesome. What I did that really made a difference and allowed me to hear it, was throwing my gain and contour allllll the way up and keeping the master volume low (I only have those three knobs on my amp, idk if that makes a difference). I wish I knew enough about frequency to give more help than that, but alas I only have my small amount of knowledge and my very sharp ears.
