You forgot to mention that Today’s Falcon 9 flight was actually a record breaking flight for an individual booster with a reflight time between launches of under 2 weeks, (13 days, 12 hours and 24 minutes to be exact) and it was Booster 1080 which did it, previously flying on November 11th. Previous record was around 3 weeks.

I still don't understand why they sink superheavy. the issue is, that the engine bells contain serious amounts of hafnium. that stuff is expensive. in other words, it makes economic sense to retrieve the rocket, even after it crashed. EDIT: usually, a 10% hafnium alloy, and hafnium currently runs at close to 5000$ per kg. nothing to sneeze at.

It’s not time efficient to scavenge the ruined booster. SpaceX is very profitable and has a LOT of money in the bank; they’d rather lose the booster and any profit margins they could gain in exchange for focus towards progressing the program without worry of recovery, as the sooner they get Starship fully operational, the sooner the many, many billions will come in.

The 726 metric tons is the weight of the launch table that New Glenn sits on, not the weight of New Glenn itself. The rocket produces about 1700 metric tons of thrust, so it must weigh well over 1000 tons (maybe 1200-1300) , the exact figures seem to be hard to find.

Actually, the HLS is likely to keep header tanks to fire up main engines in orbit, just that they are not in the "header" section. While you can use cold thrusters to accelerate forward so that the fuel would settle back to the bottom of fuel tank, but their COPV volume is very limited. The design probably similar to those of the super heavy, i.e, in the down-comer.
