Seems like SpaceX could make the fuel tanks a little larger for some protypes so that they could carry more fuel and less cargo, allowing them to achieve orbit and be able to return without a SH booster

It might be that they need a better shock arrestor system in the fuel lines. Similar to water hammering in your house. When you instantly shut down a pressure system you need to soften the impact blow of the flow coming to a stop. This impact blow can be similar to a sonic boom taking place in your piping causing unseen damage to things

I have to say that Elon musk is definitely one of the greatest visionaries of this time and has done a lot for the environment that’s what kind of people we need in charge of the world it would be an honor to work for a person like that

i mean all we'd have to do is heavily fund nasa and we could do everything Elon Musk is doing and more. The problem is that the US gov is more interested in fueling the military industrial complex rather than scientific advancement

It's possible but unlikely. We and also SpaceX don't want an early flight. We want a "perfect" flight. Making the necessary changes in hardware and avionics and then testing them will take time.

Texas is experiencing power outages which is quite bizarre considering that Texas has all the reserves of fossil fuels it needs to secure the health and wellbeing of its Citizens !? . I never understood why wave power or tidal lagoons were never pursued as a reliable uninteruptible power supply. If tidal flow ever stops then we really WOULD have a problem !

Took 3 attempts to land on the launch pad for the testing hop. Took 3 attempts when from orbit and back to pad. At least 10 when trying to land on the drone ship. Today falcon 9 nails it every time and they're going to perfect the starship 2

This is not the issue at all. There is a video i can recommend that really gets into it in detail if your interested. But the way its done has been well understood since it was conceived and certainly seems like the right choice. Its a large factor of the end capability of this vehicle. The rocket equation still rules all rockets as of today.
